To be fair, DonnyFL did address my problem and provided a solution. I'm thankful that they had the part in stock and I didn't have to wait on a slow boat from China. I'm a happy customer at this point. Thank you to those who commented and helped. I really appreciate you folks.

You were correct about the nuts on the underside. I removed the gauge and the reason for the malfunction was immediately clear. It doesn't show up in the picture, but the metal housing is bent, preventing the internals from seating properly.

Thank you for your comment and advice. While this is a $1600 compressor, it's Chinese made and quality control is questionable. The three screws all turn freely in both directions with no movement in or out. There is access to the back of the gauge, so I'll figure out some way to remove it. I...
