    Dnt thermals

I have a Zulus V1, a 225 and a 635. First I had the Zulus. Then came the 225. Resolution wise it is (quite) a step back from the Zulus V1, (you can see the individual pixels!) but as an entry level thermal it was nice anyway! But because of the low res thermal forget using it to ID an...

    Cabela's portable shooting table

I have the same table from Caldwell, and altough it's a nice light table the biggest drawback is that will sag over time, since there are no lengthwise reinforcements under the table top. So don't expect super benchrest results with it.

Newbie (with physical limitations) needs your Experienced Input/Confirmation Please

I don’t know anything about the Bandit, but since you have a .22 breakbarrel you probably already have a lot of pellets for it. So I’d go with a Notos, just a fraction more expensive, but a lot more adjustability and a much better platform than a ‘pistol with a stock’. (but the standard magazine...

I was today years old, when I realized... (scope zeroing).

Ok people, do not try to overthink zeroing, just follow 2 simple rules: Yes, for zeroing scoped (air)guns there are just two (and only two, not more!) things you need to memorize and make it a fact you can remember and recite in your sleep: When you aim at a target, you want the bullet (or...

Upgrading from V1 FX Pocket Chronograph to V2 - Is it worth it?

Oh yes, that is one big advantage I forgot to mention on the V2, the USB C charging! (Which can be mitigated on the V1 by using a USB adaptor kit as mentioned above!)

    Notos aftermarket moderator options....

I concur, the latest BIG one is noticeably more quiet than the next best one! Subscriber also made a big 1/2UNF tesla valved moderator, and that one is ridiculously quiet, it even surpasses the benchmark, the HW (Weihrauch) suppressor!

Upgrading from V1 FX Pocket Chronograph to V2 - Is it worth it?

I like the form factor of the V2 much better, but in fairness I think the V1 is much less fussy in picking up shots, especially the reflections of the tiny .177 pellet. My 2cts: If you want to upgrade to eliminate any missed shots, get a different brand, for the FX chrony V2 is not an...

    Caldwell Precision Turret

The points brought up in the setup comparison table are certainly valid, but the comparison itself is not a fair one As it compares apples to oranges. Look at your own setup: the ARCA rail is on the stock. So the standard Caldwell precision turret clamp would clamp on the stock as well. In stead...

    Caldwell Precision Turret

If you use it for hunting (as you are) I think your mod is a very nice one! But if you use it to ‘benchrest’, then I think the stock version works better, as one uses the wheel and the support that controls the elevation on the backlegs (which you removed) as if it were a rear monopod.

JSB Heavies work fine, and CPHPs as well!

    Is lubricating pellets necessary?

Ahhh, but this is a totally different concept. What he did was literally(!) turn his breakbarrel airgun into a breakbarrel airgunfirearm! He used the same principle as used in a diesel engine, hence the process is called dieseling. That process is to compress a fuel/air mixture to such a high...

    JSB or Crosman?

I concur with what Luis says above!

    Is lubricating pellets necessary?

I don't know if it proves anything, but I always used to wash and lube my Crosman Premier Hollow Point (CPHP's) in batches of about 5 or 6 tins. Recently I got lazy and only washed them. So I opened a new tin the other day, one of the batch that was only washed. When I started shooting out of...

    DNT Zulus ?

There is a great display feature called "dial in", so you can always aim with the center of the reticle... (But you still need to use windage for wind, so MIL or MOA is user selectable!)
