Thank you Treefrog. Those years seem about right. It was given to me by a friend while in High School. I graduated in 1973. Oh...it does have the hole in the bolt handle.

No, I would never glob it in there intentionally, however, it seems unavoidable that some would get in there.

There are no numbers by the loading port and there are no screws holding the rear sight. There are numbers on the left side which I assume is the serial no. (039610).

I have a very old Blue Streak. How can I tell which model mine is?

I have heard about Renaissance wax for use on many firearms. Just curious though, with it, or any wax, how do you keep it from building up in the checkered areas. Seems it would be kinda hard to keep it out of those areas. Maybe a toothbrush? I've heard Renaissance is great stuff.
