I'm strongly considering getting my Benjamin steroided. I've sent 2 emails to Tim at mac1 in the last 2 months. No reply. There is no phone number listed on his website. Does anybody know how I can get ahold of him?

I'm not sure about that. I suppose it could be though. Fortunately it's a tack driver! Maybe it's an uneven distribution of the copper and zinc alloy?

I recently cleaned the overspray from my new Benjamin 392S. Looking down the barrel afterwards I noticed something strange. Some of the brass looked a golden/yellow color. Other areas look more of a copper color and the rifling is indistinct. Is this normal? 

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm happy to hear that all is well. Since I don't have a chronograph yet, I did some penetration tests. With an Air Arms 18gr dome pellet it went straight through a full 1 gal milk jug. So all and all I'm very happy with this rifle!

Just to be clear, this sound only happens when the pump arm is completely extended.

Just an update. I decided against the flat top setup due to apparent wear and tear issues. Instead I'm ordering a stronger hammer spring, a modified transfer port and a 14in barrel. I'm hoping to wring out another 100fps. Thanks to those who shared their knowledge with me.
