Just went downstairs and tried it again. No change. The fan that sits above the compressor motor (adjacent to the coolant reservoir) comes on and runs for about 2 seconds, then shuts down. It cycles like this continually. There are no bubbles in the lines - I've checked them all and see...

I appreciate the suggestion, but yeah, I tried that as well. Cover was removed to check wiring/connectors, and anything else that would look suspicious. Couldn't find anything obvious.

Thanks. I checked all connections/wiring, and found nothing wrong. I'm just planning on getting a refund and probably going to try my luck with a Hill compressor.

Agreed. That's one of the first things I looked at. No loose/intermittent connections found.
