Mine is a little loose until pressurized, then tightens up. Honestly I have no reason to take the valve on and off, so I put it on once pressurized, screw it on slowly until it gets past the nipple then finish until it stops. Unless something happens that it needs to come off I’ll just keep it...

Got it all back together with new peek poppet today, done in less than 10 minutes, no issues back to work.

I went with peek option, said it’s better under higher pressure and I’m running mine on higher side. Says it may take a few pressurized dry fire cycles to seal up. We shall see, if not I’ll order the Delrin.

I haven't ever dry fired it without air in the cylinder.

Found the issue - poppet is broken in half! Not sure what causes that, maybe all the porting I did? Now I have to search for another one on here.

EDIT ** The air is coming from the breech / barrel when the probe is pulled back. When it’s pushed in it stops hissing. Is that the oring on the opening to the breech? Or something else?

Thanks for the input. I hooked it back up to compressor and filled back to 4000 psi, my Huben gauge on the input (fill) side reads exactly 4000 psi as does my compressor gauge. The 1250 psi is on the regulated side. I bled it all down to about 1k psi, hooked compressor back up and ran it until...

Hi - good info thanks. And yes, unless my gauge is way off it’s around 1250? Pics of both attached. The valve is ported along with block, plenum and one other spot all drilled out. I assume the 500mm barrel also certainly helps. Hope it’s not that far off of pressure.
