Check out the "the Hunting Public" videos on youtube. They dont talk about saddle hunting, but thats how most of the hunts they do are done. you can learn a little from just watching them.

    Gun gauge or tank gauge

I have to different tanks that read two different psi. I have used two Umarex ready air compressors set to 3000 psi and have had different readings on the tank gauges. I also used my hand pump(with a quality liquid filled gauge) to check the tank gauges and the Umarex compressors were correct...

Big Bore Texan Airforse Ammo Compatibility

I would say as long as the copper plate is smaller diameter than barrel it should not affect anything. If it is touching the lands of the barrel it will wear them down over time. From what I understand or have ever read the airgun barrels are not designed to use copper bullets only lead.

Air Force vs Extreme vs XP for first real big bore.

I have the Texan SS .308 stock rifle. I am using 135 grain slugs and shooting 3300 PSI with a carbon fiber tank. I am getting 915 FPS and 251 FPE at muzzle on first shot. I could go up to 3600 PSI if I wanted to, just haven't yet. It is very accurate at 100 yards. First three shots about 2'...

    My camo painted Texan .308

Not that hard just tape off the lenses. I would suggest using a scratch pad to scuff up the scope a little to allow the paint to stick better.

    Airgunus and Airforce Texan

I have the Airforce Texan SS .30. I have a carbon fiber tank and use 3300 PSI in a stock rifle. I am getting 915 FPS with a 135 grain slug for 251 foot pounds of energy at muzzle. Haven't had the opportunity to hunt any hogs yet living in SE Georgia it is 100+ temps right now. It is an air...

Umarex Ready Air wont fill past 2600 PSI

Sorry for being so late with reply. Sent Compressor back to Umarex, and got a new one shipped back to me. No explanations, nothing, just received a new one. It is working so far.

Umarex Ready Air wont fill past 2600 PSI

That is the next step. Just rebuilt the piston following the online video and now it wont go over 2400. If there is a leak it is internally in the compressor. My tank is no longer leaking.

Umarex Ready Air wont fill past 2600 PSI

Yes i have tightened all hoses and bleeder valve. The tank will hold the air at 2600 PSI when i disconnect it. Also i can put the brass plug into hose end and it still will not go past 2600 PSI. Hoping it is not an o ring inside the compressor with less than 20 minutes total on compressor. ...

Tuning Hatsan Blitz - Pressure Confusion

It is also the 3000 PSI that is key. If your SCUBA tank is 3000 PSI It will never fill a 3600 psi tank. It will reach 3000 PSI only. To fill a 3600 PSI small tank you need a 3600 PSI large tank. Pressure not volume is the key to it. Yes the pressure will start to drop on the large tank but...

Tuning Different Pressures on different Gauges??

SO a little update on this. The tank in question had a leak since i had it. 1500+ PSI in 8 hrs. I determined that it was the fill port and gauge leaking (from the factory). So I retaped them with teflon tape and tested with water. No leaks. Now the tank gauge is showing 3100 PSI when the...

New to pcp have tank questions

If i am not mistaken the "Cheap" compressors you all are talking about are NOT designed to fill a full sized SCUBA tank. If that is what you are meaning. They are designed to fill the small airgun tank. The amount of heat generated from the small cheap compressors would burn the unit up...
