Time to combine Open and Hunter?

I have been following this thread (and others like it) and i keep coming to the same place with all the discussion(s)…is this just a lot of solutions looking for a problem? I have not really seen a clear definition of an existential problem yet. I have seen complaints about things that some...

Time to combine Open and Hunter?

😂😂Ron winning matches and championships with ”Frankenguns” from the 70’s is what gave me hope that my skill as shooter would be part of the equation, rather than just the equipment. I don’t say this to be contrary, but just to illustrate the contrast. That said I do shoot one of those $3000 BB...

Time to combine Open and Hunter?

I am not opposed to folding in a dying part (questionable, since shooters still do it) of the FT game into another that is potentially compatible from a rules and equipment perspective. I would not be mad about this and i would not quit the sport. I have no problem with any of the rules and...

Umarex Anyone tried the JSB 13.43 pellets in their Notos?

I have shot Hunter FT with the RS and had good results. Trajectory is reminiscent of artillery shells at 750fps (where they grouped best for me), but they shoot true. I changed to 177 for FT, so now I shoot pests with them out of my Atomic and my Huntsman Revere.

Re-"design" a new Field Target game

I am relatively new to FT and as such have little to offer in specifics of "the game", but i can offer some observations from the short time that i have participated in it... A common theme in this (and many other threads) is the growing of the sport. As I read the suggestions for growing the...

    FT etiquette question

i met Jeff at a match in TX...he occupies a place in my mind not unlike an Olympian God😊. I will immediately emulate anything he does in the course of improving my shooting!😉 While i write that tongue-in-cheek, he was one of the generous people i have met in my 5 minutes in this sport, letting...

    FT etiquette question

Thanks for the feedback, it is helpful. When it comes to my learning I would rather not “reinvent the wheel”. I find learning from other peoples experiences more effective. I also feel that some things have to be physically done to learn them (I never met a tennis player that mastered a backhand...

    FT etiquette question

I am new to the FT world (and to this forum). I have been to two matches, both of which were really enjoyable. I met some amazingly generous people, willing to share guns and ammo, willing to guide me through the rules, gifting me a bumbag and other swag, and so on. That said, I realize it is...

My thanks to Ben for putting on a fun match (and adding the challenge of 25 mph winds). You really know how to show a newbie a good time! Thanks to Cole for guiding this particular newbie through the event. Thanks to my fellow participants for making me feel welcome! I have seen how much work...
