The hunt for a stable slug continues xD

From my experience so far I do believe its harder to get good results in .25 and .30 cal rifles at least in FX liners. My .22 panthera and .22 impact both went pretty easy.

.22 same weight pellets for target and pesting

I am convinced that people think pellet's and slugs are doing something they just are not which is beating the wind. Lets take a .30 cal 44 gr. JSb @ 890 fps as an example. At 50 yds a mere 1 mph wind at 90 degrees will move that pellet .3 inches. A 2 mph wind same direction will be .6 worth of...

The hunt for a stable slug continues xD

I will be posting my results. I did order the .250 because H&N said they cant find any definitive results for the .25 that shows either one performing better in FX liners. If my memory is correct Gerard also uses .250 in the .25. @ScopeFX did have different results and he went .249. If I dont...

The hunt for a stable slug continues xD

Whats the twist rate of the liner you are using? I didnt get good results with nsa, javelin, jsb or zan in my .25 or .22. H&N performed great in my .22. I will be getting H&N HP heavies 38 gr and 40 gr. today. I am interested in if they will perform as good in the .25 as they did in my two .22...

FX M3 Consistency After a time stored .. From an FX Hater ( Not )

I figured you would have already gone thru all those suggestions but someone else may just be starting down the road of finding issues or just making sure everything is as good as it can be.

You dont need two different pellets. Use the most accurate pellet for both.

FX Do I need a slug power kit?

If you are shooting lighter slugs you probably dont need to use the power kit. I was able to shoot .25 fx hybrids to 1,000 fps with a reg setting around 135 - 140 bar with the standard hammer and valve spring. If you are going for the lighter slugs I would try FX hybrids, H&N slug hollow point...

FX M3 Consistency After a time stored .. From an FX Hater ( Not )

@wooferocau Have you checked that your probe has been tight thru all the problems with inconsistency? My Impact started giving me trouble while I was tuning a couple weeks ago and accuracy fell apart and started not making sense. I worked back thru all the settings and speed trying to get...

It seems theres several multiple box shipments adding up to decent weight. Could possibly be some pretty good packages.

H&N AMMO - Deal Coming Up This Weekend

I have read the .217 and .218 work in the FX liners but the .218 is slightly better. I cant confirm since I only tried the .218 but they have been very good. Sounds like you cant go wrong with either in an FX liner.

FX Do I need a slug power kit?

with a reg you want to be on the knee. Find the plateau and drop the velocity 3 - 5% lower than the plateau by lowering the hammer pre load. That should get you in a pretty good spot and you can do some very fine tuning from there to get the exact velocity and accuracy. The hardest part with...

FX M3 Consistency After a time stored .. From an FX Hater ( Not )

No reason to get upset but sometimes people do. Based on different reports and my own experiences with pcp rifles theres never a one answer for all questions or problems and people do have different experiences. I live in a low humidity environment but can have 3,000 or more feet of elevation...

FX Do I need a slug power kit?

I didnt get good results with nsa slugs in .25 or .30. I know allot of people do so it just depends on the barrel. I also had less than the best results with javelins in .25 and .22. The javelins came close to being the slug to use but just not quite good enough. In .22 the H&N heavy 34 gr. .218...
