Visualize the angle you need for were you want the pellet to exit and hold accordingly. If you aim/hold for the shot like you’re on the same elevation as the target but it’s actually on an extreme angle, it’s not going to go through the animal where you think it will.

Never had a issue shipping airguns or parts to cities north of San Diego. Are you talking an actual airgun store like Utah Airgun or Pyramid? Or do you mean Amazon or private party?

What if you made one of the 4 o-rings slightly larger OD so it would slip into the skirt area of the slug? No sure it would work, but if it did, you’d be able to adjust seating depth by changing the o-ring position.

Do the new OEM mags have o-rings? Maybe the o-rings are old and not flexible enough to conform to the slug shape?
