    Optics HW44 Pistol Scope Wanted

I, like everyone else in the world, am looking for a nice pistol scope that is lightweight, clear, up to 7x and won't break the bank. It would need 10 to 15 inches of eye relief by my guesstimate. I have been looking for days and thought I would give the classifieds a try. I've seen BSA, old...

    Beeman Talk about pellet fussy.

My advice was going to be similar to yours. When I first starting shooting airguns about 15 years ago, I bought every different brands size, shape, weight, etc. Finally I decided to just buy JSB for every airgun in the standard weights for .177, .22 and .25 then tailor the airgun to the pellet...

HW/Weihrauch Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

I got my .177 HW 44 and ROMEO5 assembled and sighted in today at 20 yards. Its shooting JSB 8.44s at 825 fps for a kill zone of 1/4" from 17 to 34 yards. It is FAR more accurate than I can shoot. I built a homemade shooting rest and with that I can shoot ~1/2" groups at 20 yards if I'm patient...

HW/Weihrauch Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure that's the one I got. I just saw a video of the counterfeit problem right after I bought mine so I'm ready to check it out thoroughly when it arrives!

wgd: After further research, I've decided to go with your suggestion of the Sig Sauer ROMEO5. The reviews and price with your recommendation convinced me to at least give it a try! Thanks.

HW/Weihrauch Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

I did that with the last pistol I had but I want to keep this as a pistol so I can walk around in my back yard without arousing too much concern from neighbors. Plus, I've never shot a really accurate pcp pistol before and I want to give that a try but I want every advantage I can get sight wise.

HW/Weihrauch Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

I am in the same boat age and eye sight wise! I will give this a look. I've never used a red dot before so I may be thinking wrong in needing magnification. I know with all my scopes I always use the most magnification available.

In my case I think I will probably always brace the pistol in some fashion and my eye will be roughly 14" or so from the optic.

Thanks. I'm looking through Optics Planet. I want magnification and light weight if possible.

HW/Weihrauch Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

I just purchased a .177 Weihrauch HW44 PCP pistol with the Weihrauch 2x20 Pistol Scope from AoA. Now I'm having second thoughts since that's very little magnification for my old eyes. I'm open to suggestions from anyone. I will be pesting at 20 to 40 yards (mostly 25-30). I have a little time to...

Good Out of the Box Shooters (PCPs) - Share Your Experiences

I have one in .177 and it's very nice. Accurate, quiet, silky smooth lever. I have the .22 Brocock Compatto Sniper XR, too. I prefer the Huntsman for target and the Brocock for hunting.

Brocock/BRK New .22 Brocock Compatto Sniper XR

I'll try to clear some things up here that were very confusing to me. I think I remember getting around 35-40 good shots at that power level starting at 250 bar down to about 150 bar. The confusing thing is the fill pressure. There are several different fill pressures floating around out there...

Brocock/BRK New .22 Brocock Compatto Sniper XR

I got 850 fps on high power with the JSB 18.13s and it was very accurate but I didn't want 30fpe in my back yard. I got the Compatto Sniper XR version which is the regulated version. You can still get unregulated if you want. This regulator is excellent!!! On the lighter weight pellets the...
