    Tuning el gamo / rebuild

I'm interested in this as well. My father gave me his old stevens single shot .22 rifle. He found it when he was 12 in the woods. He's 90 now. Gave it to my gunsmith. He turned it back into a working gun again to the tune of $180. To anybody else the gun wouldn't be worth anything. But to me...

    Thinking of a Hatsan 135 QE ????

I had one of those in .30. Wasn't a bad shooter. I cooked it easy enough and I'm 59. Just way to heavy. Mine ended up in my stepson possession. I'll stick with my Talon SS.

    Thoughts on compressors

Don't even worry about voltage drop. The electrical runs in even a large home aren't going to cause a significant drop. When I went through my apprenticeship, we learned that it took a quite a bit of wire to cause that much resistance.

how long can it stay pumped? Hatsan Model 95 Vortex

I always read that you can't leave a springer cocked because the springs will take a set. Gas rams can be left cocked longer. You're probably good for awhile, but I wouldn't let it sit for days. I had the Hatsan 135 for awhile. Used to let it set for a few hours, same reason. But I would fire...

Tuning Talondor 50 yard Squirrel Rifle

Mine shoots pretty good with the little bit I did to it over the years. I'm just switching over to heavier pellets for a little more thwack. I actually had the hi-flow bottle for years. Only ever used it a few times. Since I only had a hand pump then I stopped using it because the air went fast...

Tuning Talondor 50 yard Squirrel Rifle

Yeah, I had no idea that it had a leak. Will search for cures and hoping there's a quick fix. Shame really, because I got my stock from the machinist. Fitted that to an Air Venturi stock. Gave me the perfect LOP and cheek weld. Reconfigured my scope for eye relief. Pumped up the hi-flow with the...

Tuning Talondor 50 yard Squirrel Rifle

I'm subscribed and following. And learning from your experiences. Unfortunately hit a snag. My hi-flow bottle has a valve leak. So I have to investigate that more and find the proper fix.

The real cost of my $60 Crosman 2240

I remember that you were always working on that. I was on the Yellow Forum for awhile until powder burners and the recession got involved. Now I'm getting back into it with a Talondor build. Plus a few other odds and ends.

What are your thoughts on replicas?

Guess I'll resurrect this thread. I have two CCO2 repliguns. Mine are the JW wweathered 1911 and the Dan Wesson 715 pellet revolver. I like the blowback realism of the 1911 and the fact that the controls operate the same as my High Power firearm. Well, except for the grip safety, but that's...

    Beeman P17 option

Don't know what you spent on that P17. But I believe that it is a single stroke pneumatic. You could look at a Cometa Indian. Single stroke spring piston. Had mine over 15 years. Still good with minimal springer maintenance. Still for sale. Check the usual places. Happy hunting in your search.

    Air pistol

To the OP, we're not about self defense here. Or Offensive action either for that matter. We plink, hunt and compete. I have cousins who were backups to the Olympics in air rifle and rimfire. There are members here that compete heavily in Field Target. What you are requesting is not in our...

All the pellets I received from PA were always well packaged.

I nominate that for "Steampunk of the Year Award"! That is awesome!

    Benjamin Traveler

Thanks freak eye, good to know. Biggest thing mine will fill is a Talon tank. And since I'm an occasional shooter, it's not going to be worked hard. My stuff is for pest control and occasional plinking.
