So without any confirmation to back it up (maybe Nick can help us?), it seems the newer ones have thicker walls, shallower and smaller hollow point, shorter OAL, more stubby (less pointed at top), and a harder lead alloy. 

I think the change happened when they went fully automated, so 2 years ago maybe? New ones seem to be slightly more accurate though. 

The javelin 23's shoot really nice out of this gun, its a buddy's gun. I wish they would make a 20 or 21gr so I could try them in my lower power gun, mine likes the h&n 21s and NSA 17.5s. Old NSA 17.5's opened up GREAT, these new ones suck.
