It kind of folded/sheared into the hammer around that area. My removal attempts haven't been successful so far. I'm still going back and forth with it, I might get lucky. If I can find a hammer and screw it's a better option.

Degassing is stage one to taking the bottle off the gun. It wasn't air which made it difficult to remove. Alejandroo I think that's a good description of what's on there a sort of rubbery threadlocker.
