HI I like to say great , OK well my friend was involved with legislation last year with all large air gun manufacturers trying to make a blanket policy for large game hunting with pcps , I was told it is state by state currently but the proposed bill was this .30 cal 700fps min ,100fpe min , but some states adopted this some havent yet , My concern is once this goes threw , then I feel they mite be considered real guns if this is true , will we need to apply for federal silencers stamp?  Currently we fall under radar as they are not guns , I do hope that they do not reclassify this as it would change everything  just a thought ,

I do know from when I was a kid popping squirrels at 20 yards was what a crossman 760 did , today It isnt uncommon to take ut varmints at 200m for me , My pcp guns are more accurate then my rim-fire guns , using slugs

I know Rex and Val , those scopes great for long range , great for spotting bullet trace , great for calling corrections I see some guys using them on PCP guns  am happy to see teir one glass used on pcp guns  OK Rex is a very good shot , he has areas to shoot those ultra long shots . I use my pcp guns to keep me sharp for same thing , I am a dialer like REX , I never had an opportunity to try the recon 2 ,while IOR is one of my favorites I wanted some feedback from you guys on it , I know the recon well great optic , I was was wondering about that objective lens from Japan how it works with the Schott glass which is the best glass bar none , I love my glass , Check out Mirage ULR he uses nothing but IOR I have been running IR about 4 to 5 years now , and I have to say it is up there with PM2

tweeter I shot every day I go threw 50k pellets a yr , and I usually rotate my 22 cal guns from my wildcat , cricket , royale , spa , s510 and air force and evanix , since I got this leshiy a month ago I been shooting this thing all the time , to be honest when I get a new gun i spend time tuning it and making ammo , so i look forward to tweaking modding tuning , as for this leshiy in 22 it was good stock better with longer barrel and now my new favorite pcp I love it , you know i have 2 other 22 cal  pcps in single shot they collect dust , this wont I feel comfortable already taking 150 yard shots any time , and it is a 12 inch barrel , I feel comfortable taking a shot with my wildcat at 88 yards max so this has alot to say . this was not a lucky shot yesterday I shot 500 pellets across my pond at 110 yards and i shot min beer cans and i hit 90% off hand on 3x with burris xt 11 dialing .5,2 mils  I alwys thought a  light gun was like jittery t is with say centerfire rifles weightand size is my friend this goes against that , I got to say when I watched Teds holdover and bought it I thought I would have a serious project on my hand to hit an apple at 50 yards I saw his group like 4 inches at 50 yards and he said he missed birds at 40 with it  When I took my 4th shot I was like all my pellets touched out of box at 50  yards I smiled ,   I dont get many guns out of box this accurate , Which caliber did you get ? Let me know and please post your groups , I got 22 because it is all I can hunt with and I can put this in a back pack with a guppy tank and have 500 shots with same weight as any rifle I own with the guppy tank my gun weighs 4.1 with scope how can you beat this ? and can wack a crow 186 yards lol  ,I would not of taken this shot with my wildcat , I would with my cricket or my royale 400,I like it most the weight , and i am digging a close range scope all my rifles have hi power optics , But while I target shoot alot I do this to keep sharp dialing firing solutions  for centerfires and long range

OK well both pm2 and m series stiener are world class optics, If I  had to buy a sb now  and money was no issue Id get the 3×27 or 5×45 , as u know the 5×25 is discounted  in USA they can be had new on internet for $2300 for the 5×25 with most rets in ffp ,they were 4000 a few years back

If you go with pm2 , the MTC turrets are better  they are a larger more defined clicks , the turrest on the pm2 are some of best turrets out the , the only sb which has tunneling is 5×25 you can see side of tube till 6.5 on all of them .. I know in recient few years some pm2 have had a few issues with spots on lens and also some say blurry , they ued different lube for turrets and it gets in glass , make sure yours is good , the 3×27 is better optic but in usa too pricy for me , I  accually won mine in a long range shoot ,

You  know what  the 3×12  super bright is a sweet optic it is 4k in usa optics trader has it for $2300 ,

check the IOR recon and crusader  40mm tune these are done properly probably only scope u can really dial to the mag the scope has . There is a guy on here who uses them on his pcp guns top optic my next one is recon or recon 2 I see 2 used now and I see crusader discounted 40% from optics trader  then here In usa  so I like my glass but I like to get a good deal as well , as many scopes I test and sell at a loss but I love my glass

both are excellent optics I do own both ,mine both have 0 error ,  They are both teir 1 , I like the glass and  features better on the PM2 , but I am a fan of german glass . However the pm2 5×25 has tunneling issues and one who runs one knows this , but on the hi end it is hands down still one of the best ultra long range optics mine does 26.5 mils elevation , I run the p4f   in mine ffp  and it is awesome ,

The stiener is a great optic , both are heavy 34mm tubes for long rnge though I have put them on my pcp now and then lol

I know what you mean with hi power cheaper glass you zoom in on distortion I like good glass , I  rather have a 10x quality glass

    then a poorly designed 25x

HI mags are made for marketing just like break barrle air guns with 1400 fps people want the fastest and the most mag  but it is not the best

for a low price point scope with good glass I like swfa fixed 10x this is battle proven and  for $299 retail it cant be beat , I have run them on some mag rifles and never killed one yet

Well JNC there is something to be said about a straight power optic as , the optical quality is better then the same power setting  in a variable power scope because of less parts . mainly lens to line up

Your vortex is a prism scope , which to be honest is much more rugged compared to a regular type fixed power scope , less parts as well and they are more compact then a regular scope which is a plus too

well also for battle a prism scope usually has glass etched reticle so say the battery bit the bone or it got wet you can still use reticle  which is another plus

with a red dot if batteries go , , you better hope you got a back up or iron sights , electronics can always fail

Thiis is why I always get ffp scopes If range finders fail , you can still get an idea of distance

correct Jnc they were not designed for this ,  how is the clarity of vortex say at 30 yards?

next scope for leshily I try is the US-optic 1×6 svs check out reticle

When you say quiet I see you are running a 25 caliber  I read some say it is louder then the 22 I do not know , Im leaving mine in 22 dut to laws in my state for hunting 22 is max grr. Why does your moderator look different?  is yours a diff gen or you modded it ?

HI ju ok for my airgun slugs I use a bhn tester from lee about $60 usd so where u get ead is up to u , places like zip, roto medals , corbin , sell quality clean soft lead ,  I use 6bhn for soft slugs and for say heavy powered gun over 250fpe i make lead 9 bhn , I do not use hard lead

I use mny types of molds but most I have made special for my specs for my guns , like the edgun 61 , this is a good weight for my 110 fpe gun ,I make slugs for my 22 royale which I got set at 36fpe I make a 30 grain noe bobs boatail slug for this , and my 25 hatsan which has 68fpe I make a 52 grain slug , I have weights from 28 grain to 180 grain ,I dont do the big bores as my state doesnt allow it so I am ,300 max , id love to do ,308 much more better bullets for this with better BC ,

so the lee tester sits in your reloading press and has like a ball point pen on end of it you put your lead down and hold some pressure for 15 seconds and measure the dent , the places I mentioned sell good soft lead , you can buy at ebay too but its a crap shoot if u get soft lead ,

ohh 1 more thing I am no expert but I have friends who are with making bullets , I have a good friend who is largest manufacturer in world , I make these for me It is my a buisness for me ,

But if you want to dive in and try to do it I can tell you this , you will go threw alot of molds to get a good bullet , 2 measure bores of guns u plan to do , find a good mld builder and make sure u say what end size u want say .254 or what ever and tell hm the type of lead say pure lead 6bhn or if u use wheel weights or  10% tin or what ever as shrinkage is all different

the best mold is exact and doesnt need sizing , but I use slugs for some multible guns so I do make some .002 bigger to resize for different guns

and 1 more tip I made bullets for a long time and I would quench them in water to cool them , this was huge mistake I thought cool them off uick but i was wrong when doing this hardens the lead so 6bhn turns to  very hard lead , i dont use hard in airguns  but powder burners u want hard lead , so never quench in water

How ever a friend did tell me if you do this and wait 6 months they wil soften like 12 but not back to 6

you want to get many resizer to size your ammo I use lee on my rcbs press , I also like NOE push threw sizers for airguns , they have soo many sizes which we use

I use Corbin swage lube this is best in industry get some a jar lasts a lifetime a drop can lube 100 slugs ,

get a digital scale rcbs, gem, frankfurt  are good

as you want to sort ammo by weight , when casting , I believe temps in molds and lead makes them vary up to 1 grain on a 30 vcal slug on a 22 cal mine vary .5 so i package them down to .1 same with my pellets , and I use the heavy and light ones for targets or chrono work

    does this help????
