Hi I got  PREDATOR TACTICS Deadeye which is similar , NOw I broke where the tube connects to the head , the threads on alum tube like powdered so I sent back tube and head , they either cut it down and rethreaded it or put a new tube on my head , and this lasted 1 month and it loostened up ,so I got a solid 2 inch alum bar and put it inside the hollow tube and I mounted it to head with threw bolts , like an adapter , then I jb welded it all  it is now perfect , I  would of rather saw a better aluminum tube or thicker , I use mine alot and I mount some 12 pound guns on it with scopes , I would  say this is the weak link , as for the tripod it self and the head it is fine , hope this helps LOU

Hi I found their barrels last week and I did order one for taipan , I did see the edgun barrels , They are not Genuine barrels from edgun or taipan , I know they say they sell CZ and LW but I am not sure what LOOP means in USA I found nothing on LOOP Barrel so I am unsure , I did ask about the 25 caliber though , they told me it was not in stock and they can substitute it for the POLY LW from Germany ,I will update when mine comes , I am hoping it is not a cheap ukraine barrel LOU

If it were a match grade it would be nice having that barrel as it is 28 inches , if using on an edgun you will have to modify tubes so barrel can be tensioned or cut to length

Hey Finnish  I own every edgun made and Mine shoot slugs fine , Maybe sizing is wrong for your barrel push a few threw and see how they cut into slug , you should have little drag till you hit choke then 10 pounds pressure , this is about .001 thousandth larger this is what you want , too much drag it will slow down and deform , too loose it wont spin , also I want to add on my edguns , many shot pellets well but to shoot slugs accurately , I had to recrown some of the edgun barrels and polish inside

hope this helps , and if you going to size your own make a cast of choke or push threw 5 pellets and measure if they measure .249  , you want a slug  ..2494 to 250 , and it it measured say .248 you want to try 2495  let me know if you understand LOU

is it drained? make sure it is empty , Me I would not use pliers , I would remove foster and gage , and put long round punch or dowel and use it for leverge , you should be able to hold bottle as it is bigger , cant be that tight , and also you turning the reg counterclockwise ,

If you want the best of the best buy an accuracy international level , they are a ball level not bubble , These are very accurate and show very minor cants where most bubble  levels wont even move with 2 to 3 degrees /

These are also used in Military only difference they have a iridium capsule , which can be purchased online and it makes it glow like it is battery operated

Great video and you are honest not advertising 1 brand .I have not shot the FX or JSB yet . and it depends on your gun , I have so many 22 cal pcp and many shoot slugs well , I do prefer much heavier slugs in .22 cal like in the 30 to 40 gr , I hope JSB will put out heavier slugs Id really like to see a slug with out such a huge cavity , as the penetration and BC is decreased with big hollow points ,I also found the HN to penetrate more and they load easier then NSA , I believe they are softer I had tested BHN on them a while back . you can also tell by the finish of the slug , If I cast pure lead it is dull dark gray , If I make my 30 cal slugs I put 5 % tin and they look like they are polished ,So doing this makes them look better and have les chance of damage during shipping . nice review , I guess it is not ammo friendly , Maybe polishing barrel and checking crown would do it wonders  , I like the grip in the stock and having barrel threads same size as moderator is great , has alot of good designs LOU

Gimm  this one is .22 cal , I will let you know of the accuracy , I wrote to taipan they did not answer me yet to see if this is their CZ barrel , My veteren is a CZbarrel , , I was told the newest batch of taipans does not have CZ barrels , and more then likey this is not a CZ barrel , I hope it is , as I could of gotten  a lw blank and just threaded it and crowned and polished it .well we see , I got my fingers crossed I want same accuracy as mine just longer to get more fps LOU

my taipan shoot slugs great as well , and I am 52fpe with my std gun or 18.1 inch barrel , I ordered it to have a 24 inch barrel , as I am now running 2 of Ernest plenums and the air tube is longer then barrel , and I have to say my Taipan is as accurate as my R5M but it is lacking power of the edgun , my guess is I should get atleast 15fpe more for 6 more inches , and it should be in the 65fpe to shoot 30 gr slugs currently it is shooting 25 gr at 960fpe

If i can up power Id love to shoot my mp hn 30 gr at 950fps is my goal ,

I bought it for power it already has accuracy with anything i put in it LOU

hey dont buy barrel remove you moderator and shoot a few groups , and post them with and with out moderator , If you say crown is good , I assume you mean you put it on a lathe and barrel is square and straight ? hey shoot groups if you think it is barrel , I can put it on my lathe and spin it by eye a bad crown is almost impossible to see . but hatsan sells barrels

I have had square shrouds on my hatsan btg5 and it was all over as it clipped moderator ,

secondly polishing barrel wont boost power , if you want to boost power you need to change hst or weight or port sizes , as far as some shoot hi and some low sounds like you clipping

    Final update

OK if anyone has followed thread  , I had gotten a case of 25 cal hades , and in my lelya 2.0 they spiraled bad .  , I then detuned my r5 25 cal and they shot well , I then got a 25 caliber barrel from a member here and my leshiy shot them fine ,

Well when I pushed the hades threw barrel they had little drag like they were small for barrel , However the barrel I got from a member here his had very little drag pushing threw the hades pellet too and it shot well ,

I decided to chuck up barrel on lathe  , I spent alot of time getting it to spin true within .001  I checked the face it was off .005 and I checked the crown and it was also off almost .004

I first squared end of muzzle and removed .006 , I then made an exact pilot for choke  and cut an 11 degree crown with brownells cutter  and cut a new crown on lathe , I decided to give barrel a fine tune polish since it was off so I got some 1200 grit paste , I cut a few delron bushings to fit in muzzle and breech and then I made a cast of my choke 2 inches long with a lead type casting materal , which casts at 200 degrees ,

I then cut down my cast .001 and cut some lines in it to hold polishing compound , then I spun lathe and pushed and pulled length of barrel , then cleaned and reinstalled ,

It is shooting now hades perfectly straight / my lelya shot pretty good king heavy's and mk2 , which is why I did not feel it was crown , and I somehow still dont know why it is shooting better but I am happy it is , if anyone has an idea please tell me why  thanks LOU

so you shot from a tin and it grouped good , then you wanted it better so you polished it now it wont group with same ammo ? if so , the crown must have a nick or blemish , paste wont enlarge barrel to lose accuracy ,,  did you do it on a lathe? is the barrel tight and installed properly > what kind of gun  is it ?

I happen to be able to use any of my scopes to shoot , But If I had to pick 1 and only 1 to use for dialing it would be my Schmidt bender PM2 5x25x56 with pf4 reticle ,

The reason I would pick this is I have many hours behind the PM-2 and I know  mine is precise at all magnification I use it which is 8×15 , It has precise turrets and always track 100% of time, and reticle is clear and this scope is great for reading mirage , and has 24 mil dialing on turret and

Now If I was Shooting a timed event for long range out to say 200 yds , and dial and hold , I would not pick the 5×45 , I would pick my Schmidt Bender PM2 5×45 Tremor 3 , as this scope is a bit better for speed follow up and great for fast corrections , The Tremor 3 is good out beyond 2000 yd , I do not find reticle cluttered ,

If I had to shoot 2 fixed distances say 50 and 100 yd , in competition I would opt for My IOR 3×18 x5o  as this has tier 1 glass built like a tank and has 2 zeros on turrets

so only 1 out of 3 guns i tried in is not grouping

HI ok here is what I like for $500 or less

    Arken 4×16 34mm , I love this one

    swfa 3×15 ffp .

both are very good , I prefer the turret on the swfa , but I really love the glass and the 34mm with the Arken

I love optics and am a long range shooter and I have tried and use scopes from $300 to $7000 and in the budget and to be honest I would hunt with either of these 2 scopes , the SWFA is and was always one of the best budget scopes priced under 1k and the turrets were spot on , I have noticed many new scopes coming out and I really like my german glass but I do buy alot of scopes to test and review , and I spotted a few things on the arken and by far it has exceeded anything I thought it would , it is a nice unit on par with burris xtr glass , , the mil fonts very large and crisp clicks , I like the reticle too ,it does not have alumination but it is a great value and more important I did a tracking test and it passed with no error . ALSO ON THE  OPTIC AT 16X IT IS CLEAR.unlike many cheaper 5×25 or higher scopes , many have poor glass and they just magnify distortion ,hope this helps
