So you are saying , the transfer port gets blocked if it is in or out too far and not lined up?

Well this is the same with all pcp air guns isnt it? if you put a barrel in a fx or cricket  where the transfer port hole is in the barrel  and dont line things up you can get a leak or loss of power , or even block it off  ,lol

I guess This is why I like to learn all my guns..So Cmatera are you getting it back ? I am sure we all got guns with something loose or leaking it happens , I like  Manufactures who accurately post diagrams and sizes t seals and things.

As for Cleaning barrel thanks Centercut , I almost bought one but I asked how do you clean and was told use a pellet cleaning pellet , or remove barrel.I now see it isnt a big deal to remove it , and looks built very robust nice thick barrel.

I also like barrels threaded like this and Taipan ,

these were made a year ago , the entire barrel is too small it was more like a 243 then a 250 ,

i tried to tell brian barrel was messed up back then he said it was on my lelya is like .003 larger at choke and breech , this is why ii had made barrels ,you know with a pellet is shot well , when shooting into water and recovering pellets the heads are deeply showing rifling with any pellet , unlike any other edgun which may only ride skirt and just touch head with marks , this gun , really was too tight entire barrel , but even with a barrels i did on my lathe it didnt shoot slugs as I expect it to ,

I just looked at barrel i had on last and the unit is not aligned, I had this issue with my lelya on reassembly one time , I am grasping at any straw to get this to shoot slugs well lol

    https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/edgun-r5m-barrel-alignment-procedure/

i am sure this wont help it ,

you know I made a tool for my lelya with 2 1/4 rods and a 1/8 medal and migged it to rods , sort of like this thread to align ,

I will try it upon assembly ,and next week this will be my gun  or ill set it out at 100 yds for a target if it gets me pissed ,

I test every scope I buy for repeatability and for turret accuracy , I run my stuff threw box tests tall target tests , I dont keep scopes which dont tract or return to zero , But I also buy very hi end glass and teir 1 German glass , Id rather have a 2k scope and a 500 dollar gun then the other way around , so with glass I buy the very best I can afford and buy it 1 time ,

alot of junk out there LOU

I own 2 nite time setups  one is Digital night vision and the other Thermal , I now have had both for over 1 year , I got the digital night vision n first here is my  take on them .

    digital NV

I got a Pulsar NV-550 , I paired it with a arm slight  IR light , it uses 4 batteries and doesn't record , I bought a recording device from nite-vision guys , and I got a battery extender that uses usb , I have used it from coyotes to chipmunks , it is great and works well up to about 100 yds

    Thermal

I looked at thermals for about 4 years and then narrowed it down to a few and I ended up getting the ATN 5-50 HD , I love this unit , It did take me a few months to get used to ho it operates and to learn how to tweak things for different conditions , I use this alot for a spotting scope to hunting , The price came way down on thermals and thermal is the way to go , I am glad I got this as at first I didnt like it I used to think it was blurry up close , well I can use it from 10 yards to 1500 yards , and nothing can hide from me with it .

I can go out on my deck with either my best rifle scope on a tripod or my spotting scope and scan woods line which is about 200 yards from deck , I may see a bird or a squirrel , but when I take out the thermal , I can see like everything , I see  like 8 squirrels and say 50 birds in trees , You would never know they their , the thermal is amazing,

As for tracking it is also a good tool , it can see a blood trial or even footprints , so I would say  buy the best thermal you can ,

Aso for features in mine it records has like 8 colors about 10 reticles and other things like , it saves 3 guns in memory ,so you can clip it on say my edgun 30 cal and enter in profile say for my 52 grain slug and you ready to hunt , I have over 30 pprofiles saved to cards , I have it zeroed for hi power guns to my sub12 gun now ,

AS for zoom , this is only thing is with a thermal zoom isnt same as with my regular scopes , With my thermal I rarely go past say 10x , My unit has a sub menu you can choose a zoom of 5×20 or 5-50   use the first one I find no use for the higher zooms ,

the unit has many cool features you can use your cell phone to see recordings or shots or even change setting ,It even has a  built in level for cant , it also has a built in ballistics rangefinder which can automatically adjust for wind-age and elevation ,

say you see a coyote and you see he is 470 yards , you can have the scope do the math and correct for wind and all inputs , this is a very cool feature , I have tested it on targets a few times out to 600yd and it actually hit steel here

The unit is like a computer it is actually so to work well it needs good clean power , it also uses AA batterys 4 of them , The CPU on the ATN  works better with 1.5 volts then 1.25 volts

SO I found best batteries to be kentli aaa batteries they have a 1.5v voltage regulator built in battery , they last hours , I carry a spare sent on me , I also have a ATN battery pack which gives you like 20 hrs ,I got mine on sale and would do it again , I hope this helps

I love to keep things attached but I have to remove them  on  most as I dont have room in safe for them all fitted with scopes , I got a few battle wounds on my stocks from leaving them on .

I have evolved though in how I do it , on all my 34mm scopes I run Larue quick detach mounts , these are best I ever owned they keep poi and can clip on in seconds and still hold poi on center fires too , with my center fires I do use index clips however so it goes in exact notch of the rail

I never saw that either but I know with my guns about where accuracy and power drops off , Id like to see article ,

I know my guns in 22 accurately at 100 yd

the 25 cal about 125 yds

    30 cal 150 yds ,

this is as far as my guns can hit accurately with out heavy winds , sure we all hit things further but I am saying , constantly hit its mark , now with slugs it is much further and winds can be much heavier as the BC is over double of pellets , I also found with my slugs , My guns are more accurate shooting very heavy slugs slower then ligher slugs faster

Eaglebeak it is not even for the same porpuse , the ayretek is to fully fill a gun after your bottle falls below your fill pressure , you are confusing , this booster pump , to a booster compressor which many have , they need power and take a long time to create air , up to 24 hours to fill a bottle , as the altaros and shoe box compressor ,

not the same I also have an altaros booster , that is like a shoe box , the ayrekk , is a booster pump which creates 300 bar from your tank in seconds , with NO POWER , and the alteros needs a compressor to use it , so it is totally different  thing , the altaros fills a bottle in many hours , the ayrekk booster pump takes your bottle after it drops below a full fill of your gun and it converts it to a full fill , in seconds , totally different use .

And yes it is not cheap , you can compare it to say a entry pcp  to a hi end pcp , or a cheap compressor to a commercial unit , But I have not saw 1 other unit which does what this does , it is not a compressor to fill your bottle it is a unit to get a full fill when your bottle drops below what your fill pressure , for hi pressure PCP guns and BIG BORES this is a real Game Changer , I did not say it was cheap I said it was quality made and does what nothing else on market I have saw do this , I used to top off my tank at 220 bat and fill to 300  bar , Now I can fill at 1000 psi and I get alot more full fills per tank which I did not have ,

I if the reg is new yes it needs to be shot for a few tins , there is a white disk inside and it has to be opened and closed to seat in well , I noticed this after I rebuild them , I recently  was tuning my gun , and some how a tiny piece of roing from my reg tester , got stock in the adjuster hole and it shut off air to the output side , I decided since I had to take it apart to totally replace all o rings clean it and polish it and replace seat , after this I set my reg pressure to 140 bar , I noticed with a hi quality digital gage , after loostening to bleed reg it stopped at 140 bar , then went to 140.1 and after like 10 min went up to 140.9 , so yes this can cause an ES so can a leaking oring , , this by the way settled in after 400 slugs now 140 bar is 140 bar and it never moves now ,  , while breaking mine in I also checked spread , Like david said it was accurate and this is what matters .

But it did stop this tiny fluctuation and it is not regulator creep it is so slight , I believe maybe this is what you talking about , like glem asked , how many shots threw it and is your ammo weighed to be same ,? I have had  ammo not constant as well LOU

Hi , This is the best invention for HI power PCP guns and big bores

I have had one for about 6 months and I use it about 5 times a week and it has not even so much has had a hiccup , it is amazing , It is not a cheap unit but it is built like an Edgun , strong and reliable , If you own a big bore or a gun that has a high fill rate say 300 bar , with 1 tank you never get more then 1 or 2 full fills , yes you can fill to 250 bar but face it some slug guns get only 5 to 8 shots and the fill on them and others is 300 bar , so with this unit you can double shot count per bottle or tripple it with 2 bottles , I use just 1 bottle, I will give you examples of filling say guns frommy  leshiy to say 1000 cc bottles  for my .257 caliber

OK so first off this thing has a robust regulator it is like the heart of this system it takes your bottle pressure and drops it to 150 psi to fill the 1st stage piston big volums when you push button it moves the small piston which is like a fx power plenum which holds your tank pressure , and it makes it go from 1000psi  to 300 bar or even 350 bar .

I can fill my leshiy in like 1 push for only 3 seconds

to fill my taipan from 150 bar to 250 bar 2 pushes

    r5 30 cal from 150 to 300 bar  about 4 pushes ,

    I got mine here

wow great , but your slugs looked very clean now they will be super , thanks for going the exra step .for us , To be honest your slugs were perfect when I tested them , Nick , I see you are doing a very good job with small bore slugs , Your hi speed ones are perfect , clean and uniform ,

I have tested other brands recently and I was very disappointing with the way competitors are shipping their slugs , full of lead shavings and black grit oil and not moly . I see you are thriving for perfection , thanks LOU

your condor can shoot light slugs like nsa 26.8 gr all the way up to 52 grain in your gun it all depends on the power you want to shoot , if you going to shoot the lighter slugs like 26 to 36 gr you  can do it and still shoot pellets , adjust your hst with the wheel till you start shooting around 900fps and go up in 20 increments and see how she groups ,

My condor I shoot 18 grain jsb in 22 cal ,

I also shoot my mp 36 gr slugs and when I want to crank power for big game , I swap my hammer spring to a 1.8 coil and a heavier hammer weight of 108 gr and I am running an extreme valve in it when shooting my .257 slugs it loves 73 gr . 92 gr and 108 gr . so gun has alot of power and can be turned down to shoot 18 grain pellets ,

me I would start with say 34 gr , I dont like the real light ones as much , plus you have mower to push any of them

    hope this helps

so Ernest is saying , if you raise reg with new plenum dont go pas 143 bar and sweet spot is between 138 bar to 143 bar , I believe hes saying when you went to 150 the hammer is not opening the valve fully , and the bottle nect is flow in transfer port and probe , where you can get more power but got to be careful , I think the guys who shooting them really hi power change springs and hammer weights , but they you can suffer from shot count and accuracy .

I can say since I had an impact in early 2016 , they really came along way with people here and FX and Ernest coming up with new designs , I  like the new impact alot , I am thinking of adding one again to my collection , If I do it will be 25 caliber . This is the only caliber I am lacking a good slug gun

ok so you saying you shooting 38fpe? I found best slugs for my tune is 35 gr and I am shooting 52fpe and I am using MP slugs sized to .216 using 95% lead 5% tin . I have tried nsa 28.5 and some other 34 and 30 gr , and I tried the hn 30 and 27 gr ,as well  all shoot fair , but best is 35 gr in mine , to get this power I did a few mods in a earlier forum but only part I replaced is the hammer spring , but I am playing with tune with bigger plenums now to see what it can do  LOU

mine is std length ,is your s long or std  or compact ?

well corbin will tell you push 5 or 6 pellets threw bore and measure , or you can just make a mold of your choke and add .0005 , or you can get some slugs and like a noe or other sizer and size slugs your gun likes and you can go in .0005 increments to see which shoots  best and weather dry or lubed works best , with corbins swage better to use the press and you can swage you r lead wire instead of buying rools just use pure lead or no harder then 6bhn so you don't wear out dies ,  , I make have corbin wire cutters and or swage molds for .22 cal

wow  you beat my 900 yards , my hat off to you

I do have a few questions , I showed my friend video , and he has shot 1200 yrs with a texan , and I 900 yards with a .22 cal pcp

You said flight was 7.7 seconds this would make your speed at about 1355fps and 428 fpe , does this gun really put oout this much or did you make a mistake with time or possibly bc ?

I figured out with a . senaro where somehow your ammo was .241 BC and  then you would of shot 880fps and have 105fpe , this sounds more closer  ? if  not please explain more details thanks LOU
