    anyone tried these bipods?

I only shoot one rifle at a time and they aren't all air guns, so I got the real deal and it gets swapped around between them, quick detach makes it easy. I guess it depends on how you plan on using it and what sort of person you are. If you spend $2000 on a gun and another $800 or more on a...

What's a good way to remove a stuck bullet?

Why do you think it got stuck to start with? Oversized? damaged?

Ever make a shot you were sorry for?

I had a tin of fluorescent green line marking paint that was non operational due to a nozzle issue. Set it up in the back yard and gave it a hit from about 25m. Went off like a spiraling rocket - spectacular in fact. Until my wife's King Charles cavalier rushed in to attack the new thing flying...

    What Was Your First Airgun?

Probably my dad's Falke (model 70 i think) in .22. Circa 1950 something... He still has it and knocks the odd indian mynah off with it! Not bad seeing as he's pushing 76!

Finally blew a breech seal - Bobcat Mk1

Yep, after about 2 years it finally let go, had some on hand but couldn't complete the install at the range with no real tools. Got home and took about 5 min to get the new one in. I do have a question though, the pellet probe seals against the inside of the o-ring to stop blow-back during...

When is "too old and shaky", too old to shoot

My old man is 76 and when I take him out to the range he still shows me up!. He doesn't shoot much now but used to shoot roos in his earlier years for extra cash. He's starting to struggle with the holding still while standing unsupported but he's still got it.

    Surface rust on Bobcat Mk1

Nah, I'm in North Queensland - we don't get rain and it isn't wet. The rifle is stored in the same case in my safe whenever i'm not shooting it, no rusting there, so apart from a slight dew outside of the case and box it was stored it, no direct contact with moisture. This all happened in the...

    Surface rust on Bobcat Mk1

I had the chance to camp out at our range over the weekend for a State title shoot (not airgun related) and took my Bobcat with me to do some plinking. It resides in a double shotgun case made of aluminium with foam insert. which was inside my toolbox in the back of my ute. Pulled it out to...

    Frustrating gun manufacturers!!!

Just be glad you don't live in Australia mate. When they finally get here they are butchered by having any shrouding taken off them and you still pay more for it. My Bobcat Mk1 took that long to get here, the Mk2 came out not long after.

    Who makes a good chronograph?

What 30Cal said is on the money. I just used the cheap chinese 5m roll of LED strip encapsulated in a clear rubbery resin, I think it has a sticky backing but didn't use this. Connected it up to the appropriate voltage plug pack that i had lying around in my store room. Voila!

    Who makes a good chronograph?

I use a Pro Chronograph Digital, it seems to do the job. I have the serial interface that i run to a small netbook to save the results in a excel file rather than writing them down. It holds a lot of results. It also suffers from the same issues as most Chronies with having the right sort of...

Sig C02 guns particularly the P226

I've seen a couple of yu tube vido's now and the pistol clearly has made in Japan stamped on the slide. Still don't know who actually makes them though. Jumbles.

    FX screw on moderator

I shot my bobcat (no shroud - not allowed here) the other day without the muzzle flip/air stripper on and saw that my POI had moved horizontally about 4 inches at 20m Put it back on and they started landing back on POA. I didn't think it would affect it that bad either! Jumbles

    bsa buccaneer .177 cal.

I was going to buy a Buccaneer for my boy but changed my mind and go a scorpion instead. I think they are very close to the same except for the Gamo trigger unit in the Buccaneer. So apart from that I can tell you about the scorpion. It is a nice rifle, nice blueing and wood (it does come in...
