What pistol did you shoot today

My Crosman Custom Shop with H&N Finale Match Heavy works well for me. Being 82 with Parkinson's, I use a red-dot at 10 yds. I still get a perfect 50 now and then, but 48 is more common.

What pistol did you shoot today

Spent some time with my Crosman Custom Shop at 10 yds. Best I could do today was a 48 out of 50 score. Anything over 47 is good for me. Covid shut down the Custom Shop around Spring of 2020. For the past year, their message has been "opening soon".

What are your thoughts on replicas?

The only replica I have is this Schofield, a very good copy of the post-civil war pistol. It uses 2 kinds of cartridges, one for BBs, and one for pellets. So once you've loaded all 6, you are good to go. The CO2 cartridge goes in once you remove the grip panel. This panel also has a thing to...

What's with the Crosman Custom Shop?

For the past year or so, their website contains the message "coming soon". I feel like a dope convincing people to go there for the wonderful pistol I got 2 years ago.

Is Crosman failing/going out of business?

The Custom Shop website has said "coming soon" for quite a while. Glad I got my pistol before the Covid stuff started. Love the gun, especially with the Zebra-wood grips.

    .177 for all of us?

    The only .22s I have are a S&W model 41 and a S&W model 617. My airguns are all .177.

    What got you into Airguns

This book looked interesting, so I looked on-line for one. Without this original cover, they were around $40. on eBay, and $36. on Amazon. With this old cover, over $100. I did order a "newer" cover from a bookseller for $20. + shipping. Looking forward to getting it.

What did you shoot in your youth?

Back in 1954, age 12, my parents did not allow me to have a BB gun, but said I could have a .22 rifle after I had NRA training. After many years of that rifle, handguns and shotguns, I bought my first air gun, a HW 77 scoped rifle, in 1997 after seeing them at my gun club. Got "serious" with air...
