N/A What caliber is best for 50yds bench rest .

The rules of your specific contest may or may not allow certain calibers and or power levels (or trigger mechanisms.) You are getting closer to your knowledge that you seek. What game do you want to compete at? N50 will allow up to .30 pellets....but the expense per shot goes waaaay higher...

N/A What caliber is best for 50yds bench rest .

In short, there is not short answer in the world of Airguns. There is NO DEFINITIVE BEST, or any other -EST (flat-est, best-est, quiet-est). It all depends (TM) on a multiple of factors.

Sorry, I got lazy. Should have been typed as Pellet Nutation

N/A What caliber is best for 50yds bench rest .

You have two completely different questions in your thread. Flattest Trajectory (TM) is simply a factor of muzzle velocity, retained velocity and scope height above bore. How are you with differential calculus? Accuracy is 100 times more involved than a function of ballistic coefficient...

    I get aggravated at myself

I understand. When I was into R/C airplanes, I was disappointed when the maiden flight went perfectly. When there was nothing left to improve, I felt let down. We build/tune our performance hobbies to the best of our ability. Once it has peaked, there is no real drive to go back to it...

Pesting videos… Short and Sweet! 👍 Too long? 🙈

Here is the format that I have adopted. In this example, 1:41 long with only the crucial moments included. I don't like to rehash over and over, trusting the viewer to rewind if they want to see some twice. 14 scenes in a short film...

Email sent to Canada Shooting Supply: I regret to inform Canadashootingsupply.ca has been the source of a compromised credit card. My last order from your company on 2/12/24 was for $39.20 US. We Need A New Forum Section For Machine Work

Wow, heavy-impact, I must have hurt some feelings to get that emotional response. You need a hug? Still no action with the 100's of machine threads just waiting to be placed in a new playground? Surprised, I am. With the demise of controversial sales, trades, design and discussion.... You...

    Chokes and velocity

I have not kept current on this thread. I do have a Big Horn hammer that I bought to put in my PB. It is too long by a good measure. It is very heavy and has a very small spring cavity. It is yours if you will PM me your address. I don't have a scale, but can get you dims if you want...

    Standing monopod/bipod/tripod options

Yes, all things are going to be relative. Distance, size of target, expectations for precision all those will color our experience and are hard to quantify over the 'net. Take your time to fully enjoy what you have and learn all you can before getting too caught up with the cool-kids and the...

    Standing monopod/bipod/tripod options

Break barrel guns are subject to multiple impulse recoil and usually do not do well when rested and they will react differently to different rest/hold geometries. Spring-Piston guns are a different beast from the PCP guns. I have used a bench tripod (turret from bench), a stool height tripod...

Safety first, what should I look out for?

Heya Cody - welcome to Airgun Nation. You ask a good question in a thoughtful voice and seem like a guy who can take advice. I have in order of possession, used: Hand pump - not a fan SCUBA - yes SCUBA tank 3000 psi Aluminum tank, filled at a dive shop (in the middle of the Chihuahuan...

    Chokes and velocity

Have you pushed a pellet/slug through by hand? There should be a SLIGHT increase in friction as you meet the choke. How does the rifle marks on the slug look afterward?? Also have you bore scoped the choke transition? Excessive choke ought to leave behind lead build up.
