Events AOA Extreme Bench Rest, Field Target & Big Bore April 27th 30th Ashland, Or

This sounds like a ton of fun, but it is a very ambitious program. Not sure how your crew will be able to run the show effectively , and compete, if that's what they plan to do. I do not have a cowboy action type rifle in a pistol caliber, or a big bore long range airgun (yet), so will be...

Which PCPs have the least amount of O rings?

USFT - 8 in most tube configurations. And other than the occasional scope change and cleaning, it has required no maintenance. bought it around 2010.

    Best American made PCPs

Gonna mention again MAC1 and the USFT and the variations (bench rest, extreme bench rest, extreme field target, pistol FT) A winning rifle in many of those competitions.

Should AAFTA arrange for a single centralized site for the National Championshps?

The CMP runs a regular slate of airgun matches, but not AAFTA style FT or USARB style BR. Would there be any advantage in aligning with them and folding BR and FT into their tent. It seems to be a pretty effective organization for what they cover. Or, should AAFTA and USARB looking at...

What scope are you using for competition BR?

Peole, do you shoot airgun bench rest? If so, what scope do you use, and how are your scores? To answer the OP's question, I use a Weaver 36x target dot on my HV rifle, and a 35x Leupold, with a premiere reticle on my LV gun. Also have a 42x mueller that I will put on my next build, and open...

Time for Unlimited Class in AAFTA?

Wayne, I like your thought on matching Troyer option. The FT group near me sets up with a 3 target, 6 shot kneeling lane, and a 3 target, 6 shot offhand lane. I have a blown out knee and even with replacement, kneeling not a option. So any match I shoot there I am pretty much relegated to...

Effectively using Mil-Dots (or trying to) with different magnifications

buy a scope with a first focal plane reticle. your holdover, hold under remains the same regardless of mag.

What’s the best trigger in the business

An LD tuned trigger on a USFT. None better.

Budget $2000 for Compressor. Any suggestions?

I only have experience of 3 large tanks filled from zero, but my air venturi is working well so far. My Yong Heng will now be used to fill small bottles till it fails.

recommendations for durable scope to put on my HW77 HFT rifle. something currently available at 16x that won't get blown apart after a match or two. thanks in advance

    Regulated or unregulated?

I shot an unregulated .22 USFT at the Oregon EBR event earlier this year. 40 or so 50 ft lb shots on a 1900 psi charge. Barrel, tune, trigger are the key. I have both, but like unregulated because it is one less thing to go wrong. Got 2nd in the extreme FT event.
