Reduce Cocking Force on Benjamin Discovery .22

Thanks to everyone who has given me feedback on how I might solve this issue. My grandson might need to do some work on developing his hand strength to pull this bolt back. JimF

Reduce Cocking Force on Benjamin Discovery .22

c-m-shooter...Thanks for the input. I am not too familiar with this gun yet. If I replace the stock hammer spring with one that is lighter will it reduce the velocity/FPE of this gun. I do have on hand the Baker Trigger Mod kit if I need to reduce the pull weight/travel of the trigger . I...

Reduce Cocking Force on Benjamin Discovery .22

I just purchased a .22 cal Benjamin Discovery for my 13 year old grandson. He is not a big kid for his age and is having trouble using the bolt to load pellets. The bolt is small on the Benjamin Discovery and he has small hands. Is there another larger after market bolt that will work with...

Value of Vintage early 80's Beeman R1 .177 air rifle

Hi Matheu.... I have been doing some testing on the gun with my chrono. Given the condition of the gun and the Maccari full tune I am thinking about $525.00 for the gun. The R1 is shooting just a tad above 16 ft lbs using a couple types of .177 pellets I still have. I have a Bushnell Trophy...

Value of Vintage early 80's Beeman R1 .177 air rifle

DualMagMike...Thanks for the feedback. This gun has a complete supertune with new heavier springs by Maccari so I would hope that would bring more than $400. Great collection of R1's ..I am impressed. Jim F

Value of Vintage early 80's Beeman R1 .177 air rifle

Thanks Goer.... Yes, Jim Maccari tuned this personally along with a Pro-Elite .22 and FWB 124 .177 that I still have. I think I should be able to get at least $500 for it. I haven't tested it recently but due to the heavier spring Jim M put in I think the gun develops close to 16.00 ft lbs...

Value of Vintage early 80's Beeman R1 .177 air rifle

I have an early 80's Beeman R1 .177 cal in excellent shape and has the beech stock. The gun is from Beeman's in San Raphael, CA. After a couple of years of owning this gun I had Jim Maccari supertune/ultra glide this rifle with a full tune and stronger springs for 10.5 grain CP. It shoots...

Replace check valve in .25 Sumatra airgun

Spysir.....Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I had a scary episode with an "empty" CO2 cartridge about 35 years ago in an old Crossman gun so I learned the hard way. 100 psi is still almost 7 BAR. I think I will buy the spanner wrench as I don't want to mess up the finish. I also will...

Replace check valve in .25 Sumatra airgun

I am new to this forum but can anyone tell me how to replace a check valve on my 500 cc .25 Sumatra. I have replaced the original fill probe with a foster quick disconnect from Pyramid. The gun will take air up to 3000 psi but after approximately 2 days it is back to zero. I have a .22 cal...
