    Air Venturi Regulator Creep

I don't know why the gauge moves like this. It could be a real change in pressure and it might be something about how it works. But regardless, it seems like you have a good tune for your rifle. Have you measured the velocity of the first shot versus subsequent? In my experience 40 fps will...

    Compressor damaging internals

I have some issues with your explanation of risks, Cavedweller, but your recommendations are pretty good in my opinion. I don't fill in multiple runs but I don't fill guns from my Yong Heng. It fills my bottle. My CS2 fills guns slowly because that is all it can do. With respect to your...

    Pellet Preparation

The closest thing to competition I do is the 30 yard challenge. I am not great but I have shot a few 200s, the goal. I've tried most of those steps but I did not find any difference in my scores. I find checking head size variation in a tin of pellets is useful when they do not seem to shoot...

    Vector Optics Veyron 4-16

I used to think my Vector Veyron 6-24 was not as clear as my Athlon Talos 6-24 but I just didn't get the parallax adjusted as well on the Veyron. With that fixed it is pretty clear. My Arken EPL-4 6-24 is noticably more clear but it is also noticably more expensive. I like the Vector locking...

Story time grab a beer it’s a long one

I cannot see any purpose in filing or machining a groove in the screw for the one way O-ring. I've replaced those O-rings multiple times and with a decent O-ring the valve has always worked. It makes me more comfortable in my practice of buying new PCPs. I'd rather mess them up myself.

    What brand CF tank ?

I think you should consider the fill set price when considering the bottle price. I did not. I bought a used, out of date, Scott airpack. 45 minute. I thought I could use an inexpensive fill set from Amazon. I bought one. Didn't work. I tried simple O-ring changes but it still didn't work...

    Air tank not DOT approved

I don't mind at all DOT publishing regulations for transportation of SCBA tanks. If you brake the valve off a full one it is dangerous. But I just do not understand why they got into who can fill them and certifying them. Transportation is Civil Engineer stuff. Design and testing of pressure...

    Air tank not DOT approved

You can get to at least a summary of 10CFR49 is you are concerned. It is LONG because it discusses transportation of all hazardous materials (or at least a lot of them, Nuclear may be in a different regulation). Also transportation by rail, road, or water. I did not read it but looked briefly...

    Benefits of shrouded barrels?

In the guns I own, I have an original Avenger with a shroud that is mostly for appearance, does very little for sound reduction, and several P35 variations that all come with a baffled shroud that is effective and may be enough. I use the Bullshark and P35X which have a different and to my ear...

    She works

Congratulations with your gun and hunting success. I've shot a 200 now on the 30 yard challenge with both my P35-22 (twice) and my 22 caliber Bullshark. SPA guns can be very accurate. To shoot a 200, you have to be able to shoot groups consistently no bigger than 1/4 inch at 30 yards.

    Air Venturi Regulator Creep

I used to shoot from a bench using a front bipod (Ajoite UUG) and a home made elevation and windage adjustable rear monopod. I shot my first two 200s on the 30 yard challenge with that setup. The only real issue is the sloppy threads in my home made monopod. I used hardware store threaded rod...

    N/A Notos vs Zelos?

The P35 and the Stoeger airguns come with effective baffles in their shroud reducing or, for some, eliminating the need for a moderator. Or you can replace the baffles with a printed moderator in the shroud. In other words, low to no cost options for noise control. The hammer spring is the...

    Air Venturi Regulator Creep

If you want to dry fire a couple times it's your gun you can do what you want. But if the gun is properly tuned you should not need to. My Bullshark will fire the first shot to where it is sighted and the velocity will be within the range of the next 10 shots. My P35-22 will be 10-40 fps low...

FX Where to buy o rings

I've ordered from all the places Gerry52 mentions and they are all fine. You need to know the sizes you want, however, and you will have to order 50 or 100 but they are not very expensive. But a complete set for $20 is less and as long as you do not need multiples of anything that could be a...

    N/A Notos vs Zelos?

Pretty big gap between these two Snowpeak made guns in fpe. SPA also makes the Stoeger Bullshark, Scout, and Ranger which are inbetween in power and price. SPA also makes a couple Diana models which would be a bit more money but similar in power to the ones I mentioned that were not on your...
