    We need to save California!

I was just reading about the infestation. Have you knocked on any doors in the valley?

    Stock in letting.

Hammering it would be better with material that soft, for the work hardening aspect. He said only .04” or so, I’d think a grade 5 washer would suffice in that situation.

    Stock in letting.

Stick with the washer and use a file to create a burr, sharpen it like you would a card scraper. You may need to play with the angle a little, I’d start at 85* or so. A section of dowel with sand paper glued to it could work too.

July 2025 SVFTC ( Sacramento Valley Field Target Club ) MATCH REPORT

Nice write up, cant beat that weather for the time of year. I may have to head over there as my club doesn't seem to have enough interest to get matches going again.

    Why buy JSB pellets....

Jsb, AA, and FX 10.34’s shoot well in my U3 and in that order. The JSB’s are slightly more accurate and consistent shooting than the AA’s, the FX has fliers. Both the AA and FX look cleaner than the JSB’s.

    The $2000 dollar gun.

I was that guy and bought an AGT Uragan 3, my requirements were 177 and will shoot pellets and slugs accurately. That being said, I’m already saving for the next high end rifle.

    New Guy

Welcome! I got my kid started on my old red rider, he turned 10 and i put him on my old Gamo 440, a break barrel. He’s a big kid and hasn't had trouble cocking it after we got his technique sorted. I’d hold off on a pcp unless you like to spend money and tinker.

Scope and Rifle leveling - flashlight and gravity.

A deck of cards or feeler gauges between the bottom of the scope and the rail will help get the reticle and bore aligned when you mount the scope. Love that flashlight trick, I’ll have to double check my setup with that.

    Source for O-Rings

Choices are 70 or 90nbr. Is there a manual that came with it? Sometimes they're specified in there. A call to the manufacturer works too. Hopefully someone replies with better info for you.

Filtering the Input vs. the Output of the Compressor!

Looking at the amount of dessicant they’re using it is similar to mine on the input side. I have an Air Venturi 4500 and there is a filter on the HP side that is integral, i have an Alpha filter behind that. Only the bleed screw on the compressor’s integral filter ever blows off moisture. In...

Filtering the Input vs. the Output of the Compressor!

Heres the LINK i was thinking of, worth a read imho. He discusses what happens to the h20 in the air amd waht happens as we compress the air.

Filtering the Input vs. the Output of the Compressor!

I filter both sides of the input/output. I filter the input side because its easy and i had parts laying around but the output side is where you'll get the majority of the moisture out of the air. For what most pcp’s cost and the amount of maintenance these guns need regardless of how dry and...

    Airgun Technologies Uragan 3 177 600mm Tuning

What are you looking/listening for in regards to HS tension screw adjustment? Do i look for a plateau in speed then 1/4 turn when the fps flattens? There seems to be a lot of nuance with the balanced valve. Are there different spring’s that i can get? It would appear to my untrained eye that...

    Airgun Technologies Uragan 3 177 600mm Tuning

I went in a 1/16 of a turn and the velocity is still low. I want to be around 900-930 fps with the jsb 10.34’s. Current average is 883, ESof 5, another 1/16 or a little more should get me there (velocity wise). Assuming the fiddling I've done tracks with what im seeimg on the chrono, I’ll be...
