Quick Afternoon Euro Dove Session at the Dairy

Good job. I hate those Eurotrash doves.

    Caveat Emptor

The use of "brokerage fee" makes a handy catchall to mark up deliveries (about which you don't know the amount until it's too late) just because most likely there is no federal prohibition on the practice. Or is there, and who to ask for an offical answer? An example from the nongun realm: A...

What did you do airgun related today.

The wind died down after dinner, so I hung an already-holed mini soda can in the pellet trap with the goal of cutting the can in 10 pellets or fewer. The can had been shot 60 times (including the bottom and top), leaving yet another of those maddeningly tiny strips holding the pieces together. I...

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Steve, could low blood sugar before dinner have contributed to the lack of focus? Either physical or mental factors can distract me. Not to mention a dog barking nearby or other sound out of my control.

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

Fewer pellet types to choose from makes a certain decision very easy: Do I want to try another kind? 🤗

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

I was wondering where you had zeroed the gun, LOL. Since I plan to use the stock open sights, I'll be shooting at much closer distances anyway.

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

The Terminators were surprisingly good in my P3 and Daisy 880. And they must be the cleanest pellets I've ever bought. After loading them, there's barely any lead residue visible on my fingers.

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

Nice to see a shooting video, even of just one shot, done with the .20 cal HW30. There are lots of great posts and videos about the HW30 in .177, yet little about the .20. Vested interest: I ordered one. Do you have any special observations or advice about it? I have a good stash of FTT and...

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

I have no photo to show, and my offhand standing shots were nothing to brag about. 33' distance, Blue Streak rifle with peep sight, lots of wind. I knew it would not be a great day but thought of how long since I had shot a bullseye target with this rifle. I mean, I can't remember when! Been...

Thomas T has passed and won’t be posting any further.

He could be counted on to encourage both new shooters and longtimers. I, too, enjoyed the What Paper Target thread and hope it will live forever. His posting of so many different paper targets free of charge for all to print was just one of the generous contributions he made to the sport. Thank...

    Centerfire v. Air…

It's not a case of CF vs AG for my purposes The CF revolver is for defense against attackers up to and including humans. Period. The AGs are for practice and fun. I use every one of them every week. I was driving to a range twice a month to practice with the PB. Not any more. Between not...

    Custom bird feeder/pellet trap:

Clever concept and solid execution (in both meanings of "execution")! We had a pack rat infestation in the crawl space at a previous home. What a nightmare. Huge piles of scat and some carcasses ruining the scrap lumber and other items the builder/owner had stored in there. No more crawl spaces...

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

I shot the P3 pistol indoors (awful weather outside). A sheet of 5 bullseyes for each shooting hand, front sandbag on a bin, indicated that left and right are roughly equally proficient. Scores converted to % were 95% for left hand and 94% for right hand. Other days it might be the opposite. I...

This upsets me because it is not helpful

    Sorta. More like Crotchety.

Are you happy with your shooting?

Happy for a given day and conditions, sometimes. No such thing as always happy with my shooting. That's OK; any skilled activity is a work in progress. If it were not, it would become boring. There's always a way to increase the difficulty.
