U.S P.S no longer allowing airguns to be shipped

The Post Office is not privately owned, it is an agency of the US Government (the executive branch, to be exact).

    Google Blocking AGN

Thanks, guys, responses much appreciated. I do realize of course that there are other browsers and search engines (that's how I got the image to download), and other work-arounds. It just concerned me that google even has this feature (I was not aware of it, and I'm usually pretty good with...

    Google Blocking AGN

Not so sure that's correct. The language quoted in my first post is from a google page, which was linked on the little box refusing the download. It appears to explain why google blocks downloads. I don't have Bit Defender (or any similar AV).

U.S P.S no longer allowing airguns to be shipped

That may be right, I'm not sure. If the federal regs (which are set pursuant to Congressional authority) establish that a certain kind of thing "may be shipped" via the USPS, does the USPS then have a "right" to override that with its own internal policies? I honestly don't know, but I...

    Google Blocking AGN

Here's the link. First pic. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/wts-benjamin-marauder-22-cal-gen-1/ Here's the picture I was trying to download. FWIW, I went in and changed my Chrome browser settings to the lowest "security" level, and it still gave me the same message, "jpg can't be...

    Google Blocking AGN

That's what concerns you? OK. I have mine disassembled and I couldn't remember which way the trigger guard faces. Dumb, I know. But what can I say, I'm old.

    Google Blocking AGN

I tried to download a simple jpg from an AGN post just now. (It's a picture of a Benjamin Marauder posted in a classified ad a couple of years ago.) Chrome would not let me download it. When I click "Learn More" next to the message saying it is "unsafe," I get this (I enlarged the last point...

U.S P.S no longer allowing airguns to be shipped

Actually, even in NY you can ship a long gun without an FFL, as long as you are shipping it to an FFL.

U.S P.S no longer allowing airguns to be shipped

I don't think the USPS can lawfully refuse to ship an airgun. That of course doesn't mean some idiot employee won't refuse to take it. But under federal law there is no restriction and the policies of the USPS allow shipping of airguns.

    UPS Shipping Question

I'm concerned that these "woke" carriers and the people who work for them are going to harm or destroy the sport. Which I'm sure is their goal. There is no law against shipping an airgun. I believe Fedex refuses - I have always understood USPS and UPS to accept airguns. I'm talking about...

    UPS Shipping Question

What is a "certified or registered shipper"? I have an FFL but I don't need it to ship an airgun. What exactly do they think you need?

    UPS Shipping Question

I don't even bother with UPS (never mind FedEx), or even with the local USPS where I am (suburbs of New York Chitty). I have a hunting cabin in upstate NY and I use the USPS there. Everyone shoots there. Even the (cute) 28 yo woman who manages my local bank account there is an avid...

    New Rifle Break In

This was the first patch run through my new Hatsan Airtact the other day, right out of the box. A refurb from Hatsan, not a high-end gun obviously. But I was a little surprised at how dirty the barrel was. Took about a dozen patches to start getting some relatively clean ones.
