    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

I tried the 13.43s and was surprised to see that they performed well. Shot an 11-round magazine at the lowest setting with a 436 fps avg. (5.67 fpe). I was really pleased with the regulator as most shots were 435 or 436 and one was 438 and another 439. I’m happy with the approx. 1/2 in group at...

N/A Newbie backyard PCP for pesting

I’ll pile on to Weevil’s comment as I have been there and done that without success. I tried to do what you’re suggesting with a Taipan Veteran with the speed dialer. I would get horrible groups whenever I tried to dial down. I ended up tuning it to around 30 fpe and keeping it there. Gives me a...

    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

Wow! That looks like a work of art. You did a really nice job with cutting out that silhouette. Is that the larger 160 0db?

    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

I was surprised to see that it had four power settings as all the reviews I saw had three. Not sure if it is a redesign. I was also surprised to see the moderator on it as the listing on AOA clearly said that the moderator is not included. I’ve heard the same from others on the safety. It...

    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

I had read a review where they didn’t do that well in their Ranger. I guess it won’t hurt to try them. Maybe they’ll do ok in mine and I agree that they should give me a flatter trajectory.

    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

I appreciate your advice on not tuning it. It’s likely not necessary based on what I’ve seen so far. I might just have someone else shoot it while I stand by the fence. Hopefully my perception of its loudness is off.

    Brocock/BRK My New Brocock Ranger

I just received a new .22 Brocock Ranger XR (Sorry, forgot to take pictures). I wanted a good quality lower power AG for backyard paper punching and some pest control, mainly sparrows and starlings. My backyard shooting is from 10-35 yards and the Ranger seemed like a perfect fit. I received...

Taipan Taipan Vet II Tactical Owners, I have some questions.

I also have a Vet 1. Recently found that for me, the HST adjuster is best used for fine tuning. Find a good regulator to hammer setting for a particular pellet to yield the best accuracy and leave it at that setting. Maybe I can move the HST an 1/8 of a turn or so and still maintain excellent...

Taipan Need to Tame my Taipan

I did some Dad math and figured that my Taipan's hammer tension was set at about 98% of the regulator setting's highest velocity from the factory. This allowed for excellent accuracy at 930 fps. With my regulator adjustment now maxing out at 845, I adjusted my hammer to 820 (97%). I am...

    Taipan Original vet leak

How about that one? Looks like that’s an o-ring. I wouldn’t think it’d be by the gauge as there’s not much movement there.

Taipan Need to Tame my Taipan

I was able to set the regulator to 100 bar. At this level it would not shoot 18s higher than 845 fps. I set the HST to 800 and it shot very well. Not one hole at 35 yards but I would say MOA. I ran out of time and couldn’t do much shooting, but so far looks good, or at least better.

Taipan Need to Tame my Taipan

Thanks for confirming that. I have not been able to determine for sure based on previous posts if there is someone that is able to shoot their Taipan with the same accuracy across varying velocities simply by turning the adjuster. Seems the adjuster may be for tuning and not for changing...

Taipan Need to Tame my Taipan

This was a new Taipan. I also thought it was the barrel, and I did clean and polish to no avail. I convinced myself that it wasn't the barrel since it shot well above 900 fps. Anyhow, I've gone ahead and started messing with the regulator. I remember now why I was interested in a Huma. My...
