Just a beginner, but I don't believe the barrel length matters...it's the "twist" inside the barrel. Slugs need more spin than pellets. I see many in the range of 1:15 to 1:25. The rate is how many inches it takes for the projectile to complete a full turn, so 1:15 spins faster than 1:25.

In your example using a 15cc plenum, if the plenum only used 10cc each shot that would mean, 60 shots not 40??? An I misunderstanding your question?

Do you use a moderator? Since the speeds are in the "no-spiral" range, and you indicate that it's not a barrel problem, perhaps they're hitting something in the moderator. One other thought is a bad barrel crown that's "pushing" them off on exit?

Sorry...I thought you were talking about updating the chronograph...didn't "read" it is the ballistic app you're having trouble with. I do not have any issue connecting with the app with my original and the True Ballistics units.

I believe the update will only work on the version 2. I don't remember where, but there was a clip on updating that noted it would not work on an original model?
