    Not sure what you're asking. On the software/ballistic apps I use, I enter the BC and it "knows what to do" with it. Some apps require additional info such as Density Altitude, temperature, winds, etc., but have some type of default is you don't input the data. Hard Air lists the pellet/slug...

    Moderator Mystery

    I would initially check to see if the pellets are "shaving" as they go through the moderator. You might see some led traces in the baffles or the entry/exit areas? Moderators do alter the barrel harmonics also, but I would not expect to see as much dispersion as you describe.
