Well that’s a bummer but thx for that info. It’s @103 dB now and my p-Rod is 82 dB. There is quite a difference in volume between the two.

@Firewalker , It falls off the reg slightly below 1000 so I'm guess about 900 psi. I downloaded a dB App so I will try to get some numbers to compare yours.

Running the stock HS and reg is turned in 1-1/4 turns which is around 900 psi-ish, Yielding 582 FPS. Previously I was using a weaker HS but it had a nasty blaaaaaap sounding report. Put OEM HS back in and the blaaap sound went away but it’s always been louder than any of my other moderated PCPs.

When I ordered my HPX I asked Mike to install a LDC and he gave me the same answer that Lou posted. I tried to shoot it at home and it’s LOUD, actually too loud to shoot in my neighborhood or without ear protection so I ordered a clamp on 1/2-20 adapter so I could use a LDC at home. It quieted...

Nope, no escaping there

I removed the OEM moderator and installed a 1/2-20 adapter. Then i tried several different LDCs from Donny FL and Rocker 1 and this thing is just rudely loud. I don’t have a dB meter but it’s easily 2x louder than my other airguns. it’s detuned to 582 FPS running CPHPs. Any suggestions?

Nice shooting Tom. Can you see the 22 holes clearly with the 45x scope? I’ve got a 36x and can’t see the holes. I recently bought a 45X but haven’t had a chance to use it yet.

Since you are hurling heavier slugs perhaps running a few 25.4 MRD’s through it might be an interesting experiment? I’d love to se a target full of MRD holes when you have an opportunity?
