I never understood the rip cord prop until I saw the gunner shooting the .50 caliber from a helicopter gun ship.

Not NRL affiliated, Locals out for steel. These matches are put on local by center fire shooters needing practice for Precision Rifle Series, same barricaded from 250 - 800 yards. 

Roof top / left slope - 3 shots Sun Roof - 4 shots Roof top / right slope. - 3 shots 120 seconds : 3 structures

The sunroof stage starts with rifle staged on the roof and shooter standing in front of the car with hands on the hood. On command with 120 seconds on the clock gunner enters from the open door. Targets have been a Mover @ 60 yards, a steel rabbit @120 yards & 12”x12” plate @ 250 yards...
