    Umarex Hammer

I have a Umarex Hammer I bought this year for deer hunting. I harvested 3 deer and it worked great. I used the Lehigh defense 240 grain controlled chaos projectiles and they were great for deer hunting and the accuracy was great out to 70 yards which was as far as I tested. I’m sure it would be...

I am interested in getting started casting pellets and slugs but not sure where to start as far as equipment needed. Would be great to get some advice on where to start. Thanks!

Umarex Hammer air blow back ?

They definitely could have been designed and constructed much better hopefully they will have a version 2 at some point to improve on the design but I have to say I am pretty happy with mine.

Umarex Hammer air blow back ?

I got a hammer and it’s been a great gun for me. Very accurate and very powerful. I harvested my first whitetail yesterday with a double lung shot with the Lehigh defense controlled chaos 240 grain slugs. The Doe ran about 40 yards before expiring. Although it doesn’t feel as refined as some...

Lead free for hunting. Speed and twist rate. Can lead free slugs be accurate and perform on game?

If you hit vital organs with a lead core bullet there is absolutely lead fragmentation in the “gut pile” (I leave the heart and lungs with the guts and consider that the gut pile) this applies mostly to high energy center fire rifle and rim fire ammo less so for slower moving airgun ammo. The...

Silicone Tube vs Carbon Fiber Liner

Awesome I’ll take you up on that one day when the weather is a little better. Do you have a place to shoot out there. I’d love to do some shooting and trade knowledge. Well probably just learn from you since I’m still pretty new to airgunning and haven’t had my 25 cal impact for very long.

Silicone Tube vs Carbon Fiber Liner

Let me know how it goes if you test it. I’m interested to know how it works it’s a very inexpensive method and sounds like it could work well if it’s a tight fit to the liner and the ID of the barrel housing. I see you are in canyon lake I’m just down the road from you in San Marcos :)

Silicone Tube vs Carbon Fiber Liner

I remember seeing something like that as well and was trying to find it. I’ll post a link if I find that post.

Lead free for hunting. Speed and twist rate. Can lead free slugs be accurate and perform on game?

Lehigh Defense made an awesome fracturing copper bullet in 50 cal. I have used it in my Umarex hammer with great results but I hear they do even better from an airforce texan 50 cal. https://lehighdefense.com/500-diameter-240-grain-controlled-fracturing-bullets-50-count.html I think they stopped...

    Supressor for Hammer .50

I put the donnyfl ronin plus adapter on mine and it helped a little bit but not as much as I hoped. The main problem I think is that the breach is open like a revolver so lots of air/noise can come from that magazine well. Another problem is that it’s very inefficient on air partly because of...
