RWS Superdome 8.3gr in .177 is my go to for varmint control. I,m inside a half inch circle with 5 shots at 25 yards, and that sufficient for me. I've run around 8 different brands of pellets through the rifle, and RWS out-performed all of them for accuracy for a field pellet. +1 on the rimfire...

Had a gopher free-loading in my wife's garden this year. Shut down the free buffet with a 60 yard shot off of the back deck.
