Doesn't matter if you're a "newb". Unacceptable treatment from a vendor who's being an A-hole should be announced here imho. Might prevent others from being treated the same and/or pressure the vendor to rethink their "customer no-service".

Personally I'm very happy with my continuing progress but CANNOT shoot freehand anymore. Getting old sucks! I've lost too much strength & control of my left arm & shoulder to chance freehand shooting while hunting. Bipods are my friends! I'm OK with that.

JSB 44.75gr is probably "the standard" for the majority of we .30 owners. There are other manufacturers making similar products but all are around 45gr (AEA, FX, JTS, etc.). I occasionally use the 50ish gr pellets too but the vast majority of my shooting is with the 44.75 (JSB Exact or Hades)...

Barra 250 in classifieds, Macavity MA2, stuff like that. Inexpensive (relatively) & supposed to be good out of the box. There are a lot more "lower tier", decent shooting guns available than there used to be.

What's BEST for one might not be best for another. All airguns, even identical, are not created equal. "Buy em & try em" is really the best way to find out.
