Steve I'm a little confused with what you mean by the prescription in the Midas? and the IQ? Are you suggesting the Midas Tac were better for you over the Ares?

Currently have the Athlon Midas Tac and I find it to be good quality with good glass. With that being said I've been considering grabbing an Athlon Ares for a different gun. Does anyone have both of these scopes? and how much better is the Ares? Is the Ares being 2x more expensive justified?

I shot a good amount of slugs with the superior and superior heavy liner this summer and the 29's/29.5's were good in both liners. The superior heavy liner only seemed to like the 29s/29.5s and the 38.5s...I didn't have much luck with the 33.5's or the 36.8s...Zan slugs did pretty good out of...
