    Crappy service from Pyramyd.

Mistakes are expected with any human operation. However, my problems with Pyramid were a total lack of response, hours on hold, etc. when there was a problem, thus forcing credit card charge backs. When I spend hours trying to figure out how to get what I ordered, and paid for, it is time to...

    CenterPoint FFP Spectrum 4-12x44mm Rifle Scope LR412FFPS1 $60.58 free 2 day S&H

I sometimes shoot in the basement, so I like my scopes to focus at 10 yards. Every other scope I have on my air rifles focus at 10 yards. This includes other Centerpoint models, Tasco made in Japan, cheap Tasco, Leapers, and 3 FFP Bushnell Nitros of similar or greater power.

    Regarding Faulty HPA items

Unless the item was big, like a compressor, I would expect the whole item to be swapped. If it was big, if possible, I would expect the to swap a properly assembled part as replacement. It makes no sense to ship 1/2 of a replacement when the exact fault is not clear.

    New tank, failed inspection.

I will state it one more time, the valve turned and could have been removed. The shop said the resistance was too high, not that it could not be turned. See above for the why the shop did not remove the valve, even though they could have.

    New tank, failed inspection.

The shop did not remove the valve. They said that the high resistance to removal was either cross or bad threads, and to them it was a failed inspection in either case. The first step of their inspection is that the valve removes easily with expected torque. So, it may not have been cross...

Thank you, you responded more than I did. I would love to see your contributions to an exciting thread ;-).

    New tank, failed inspection.

Yes, they charged me $30 for the inspection, which seems steep. They did offer to talk to the vendor, so I don't feel ripped off. They do discount the first fill from $20 to $10. However, since they did not fill. I am out $30. ;-(

I have neither confirmed or denied any vendor. Also, I said "I will reveal the vendor if I do not get resolution." Your reading comprehension is lacking. Are you 8 years old?

    New tank, failed inspection.

According to the tank vendor lock-tite is not used, so lock-tite does not explain the resistance of the threads. I do not agree that visual inspection does not involve inspecting the interior. The dive shop explained to me that they have received some horrible tanks with current...

    New tank, failed inspection.

Update: They eventually called in response to my email, and are cross-shipping a new tank with a return label for the old one.

Are you serious? If not, congratulations, you have compelled me into posting again.Either you are a troll, or your reading comprehension is severely lacking, assuming, the latter, here is the original quote: "They said they are one of the only shops that will fill to 4500 psi, and showed me an...

    New tank, failed inspection.

Thank you, and others for the constructive advice, and thanks to those that read my original post and understand what I said. I have probably replied to too many responses, and this may be my last. At this point all that can be said, has been said. If it is not clear, sorry. This is my last...

    New tank, failed inspection.

I did not say anything about the shop holding the tank. They refused to fill it and gave it back.
