as for eating, cottons are hasenpfeffer, but jacks can have warbles. unless it's the grapes of wrath i don't think anyone is eating jacks. whan i gret up on the farm cottontails were considered better than chicken, but only because they didn't lay eggs.

rabbit hunting is a hoot with an air rifle. unfortunately, the hemorrhagic fever got 95% of ours all the way from west texas to california and up the west coast. it even made it to new york.

i think mayor adans needs to hire a few guys with air rifles to fix his rat problem.

what calibers are best? i have heard .25 and .30? is shot placement different than with a powder burner. i see youtube video's of guys shooting squirrels with 25-30 and they head shoot them?

what .177 pelet weight has worked best for you?

pcp air rifle, haven't decided which yet. was going to get a 25 or 30 cal before i moved from missouri where they are legal for deer hunting.

hunted on a farm in southwest missouri, a dairy farm. the owners were a real cat lovers. at one time i counted 90 cats at the barn wanting milk. the cats would wonder off and go feral. the owner (husband) told me to shoot them when i see them away from the dairy. Didn't shoot any the first year...
