Check this out - https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/the-diy-rcbs-rebel-gmi-swagging-kit.1326868/ , We did make such an open source project with AGN members and GMI engineering team.
@AirForce These were my words: "How can Airforce Airguns be so clueless? They have the audacity to launch a slug-making press that swages slugs in sizes compatible with FX barrels. A company (@AirForce )that has done virtually nothing for small-caliber slug shooters is now selling slug-making...
Yes @JaceSpace1369 Thanks for the mention , I am the co-founder of GMI. @Shelbygt500 At GMI we also have a 45 day manufacturing window but we do not ask for restocking fees (I am surprised to hear about such policy).
That's an engineering oversight I can conclude. The basic principles of die making were not followed, Usually the dies are made in one piece, from a single piece of tool steel. The way you have pry opened the die crown shows it.
There is a tumbling process which is followed, Zan used walnut and cork media initially, NSA uses ultrasonic agitator, So that why they look as the image youv've posted.
Excellent project. My suggestion is not to compromise on the manufacturing of these pieces of equipment; use the best hardware available. Treat as if it were a metrology equipment.
Thanks mate, trying to be honest. So far we have covered the grounds on die sets which fit almost all presses. Presslug version is ready, tried tested and is available, SOC is in stock, Hybrid - Slugmaster is also ready.
