Fox killed my chickens las night

Minor update. Yesterday I didn’t clear up the corpses as Small Boy was super upset, I just closed the door to the run. Went out to sort it out just now (he’s in school) and the bodies are completely gone. 100% a fox. Setting up trail cam, bait and a trap now. No way can I replace the chooks...

Fox killed my chickens las night

I would agree, but the only earth route into the pen is undisturbed. I live in the centre of one of the most ancient cities in the UK. No cat or dog could have killed the ladies - but we have urban foxes. A family of them are living in the garden of a for-sale property on our street. Day scope...

Fox killed my chickens las night

Thanks guys. I have a spare trail cam I will set up. Naively I thought a six foot solid fence would be sufficient. If I replace the crooks then I guess I’ll wire roof it too. We had the ladies for nearly four years (Chickie and Diogenes). Fox will be meeting its maker.

Fox killed my chickens las night

Now I have to be a little bit careful here as I’m in the UK and in an urban situation. Has anyone any tips to baiting a fox onto their land? I know where they are denning, but it is not on my property. I want them dead and staked on an anthill. Those chickens were pets and friends as well as...

    Pizza ?

We have recycling bins collected weekly. Glass, paper/card, plastic and food. Plastic and tin is usually put out pre-shredded. The food waste bin is funny though (obviously I’m not into shooting peelings). Any leftover meaty food is stored fresh in the dog. Any leftover vegetable bits are...

I love these little lumps of leady goodness. Had a little bit of a shoot with the L2 today and one hole would not be an exaggeration at 30m. One hole (a bit ragged admittedly).

Paper (and more severely cardboard) has a lot of sand in it. Ship a painted part in cardboard and expect anything touching the box to be sanded shiny by arrival. (I learned that the hard way when shipping prototype parts to Ferrari in the 90’s)

    Cooking

I absolutely love cooking! The beautiful thing about having a wife who can burn water is that I do all the cooking- which translates to ‘I get to pick the menu’. Every day.

    Purely out of interest- Iguanas?

Are they a pest species that attacks your grapevines whist feasting on a diet of honeybees? Not an anti here by any stretch- but why shoot iguanas? Are they extremely tasty?

I had my first Margarita in a restaurant called the Mangy Moose on the shoulder of that canyon aged around twelve! Water erosion is a different beast. These were water cut: Although to be fair, that is a water jet loaded with sand. Which is harder then steel.
