My kings grouped great at 970 fps and my heavies at 870.

This is amazing.  A few questions:

Did you give him specifics about how you wanted it tuned?

Did the tune come with the purchase of the gun?  If not, what was the cost?

How long did it take him to tune your gun?

    thanks!

I told him I wanted it to be accurate. Speed and all that are a bi-product. Some guns are accurate fast and some are accurate slower.

I believe at the time I ordered the gun, the tune came with the purchase of the gun. That may have changed no, you'd have to ask him.

He had my gun tuned and ready to go in like 2 days.

i bought these on amazon just to try them and they shoot as good or better than the JSB ib my boss

When I purchased these they came with dented skirts, EXTREMELY dirty and skirt sizes weren't even close to my JSB that was shooting sub MOA at 100y. So I didn't try them. If you know your barrel to be very tight, they may work for you.

I shoot the Air Arms in my Boss and just as accurate as the JSB'S. Might want to take a look at those.

Since when does Air Arms make .30 pellets?

It's more of the tune than what I'm doing.

Yes, I take measurements of everything and also take pictures for a reference.

I'll measure the valve stem, the hammer and the reg pressure. Reg pressure you can do by marking the gauge or getting an edgun edmu which I have found to be very useful for tuning.

Once all measured, you can tune away and go back to different settings that worked. Try to do one at a time and see how that effected the groups. Take notes of everything.

Unlike mentioned above, I highly disagree that you wont have to touch the hammer tension. If you want optimum performance and efficiency, almost everything will need to be touched. Gun still groups great out of the box and is very well balanced.

    Hope this helps.

Look at the bottom of this page which agrees with davecole:

I see that they are sometimes shooting at speeds not common with todays standards of speeds. So I now realize I will have to do my own testing with my gun and the speeds I might like to shoot at.

If you don't mind stating who you asked shooting 50.1g at EBR, because everyone I talked to was shooting 44.75gn.
