Yes that was my intent since I usually fill from a scuba tank. Convenient filling and hopefully longer valve stem life.

I also removed the 2 washers before shortening the spring.

34mm, the factory spring is 37. I wouldn't try without a chrony to see what is happening. After each clip, I heated the last half coil with propane torch and pressed on the spring guide to flatten the base. A little filing smooths the base of the spring.

It comes with the adapter. I tried a buckrail 177/22 moderator, but it affected accuracy. Had a 30 buckrail, so I tried that on a whim. Works great! It's just a little louder but still very much backyard friendly. And it kinda has that Pffft sound you hear in the movies.
