    What Scopes is everyone Using?

I like light weight and repeatability: Sightron S3 10x42 Weaver 4x38; 6x38 and 4.75x All used 50y and less on my Edguns and AAAs

    Terrible triggers

The youth rifle designed by Weihrauch, the HW25, has a very bad trigger. It is very safe and it makes all other triggers seem wonderful in comparison. My 13 year old can shoot it like nobody else, mostly because the rest of us is spoiled with good triggers. Good learning gun.

    Preferred magnification when shooting offhand.

I had another consideration in choosing scope… I usually shoot off hand, and there is usually not a lot of time to set up: otherwise I would take the time to get comforatble and use sticks. So when time is short, I want to focus on aiming and shooting, not on setting the scope parallax...

    Your 1st PCP

First pcp was an edgun veles (2nd hand) and second pcp was an Edgun matador (also 2nd hand). My philosophy is if you buy quality, you have less likely to be unhappy with the gear, and once you sell (which I always do since I am not a collector), you always get your money back. yes, you may need...

What’s the most compact Hunting style rifle?

At the original poster: Budget, purpose and your personal preference or fit ar key I think. You mention RAW. Had one, sold it, did not fit my purpose. I suggest you take a look at the AAA Evol in .22. For a couple of reasons 1. Its great stuff 2. its short 3. you can easily get std ar15 carbine...

Is there a "Goldilocks" PCP for me?

If you are after a goldilocks gun, then get what you really want, and dont consider price. You will just buy more guns until you get to the one you wanted in the first place. All suggested guns will do, but for me there is only one that ticks all boxes: evol std .22. Short, light, accurate, easy...

Hunting 5 Auto vs other quality sporters

I like sporters, I have the H5 Semi and the Kalibrgun Carbine .22. Both of equal weight, similar barrel length, although OAL of H5 is bit shorter. I find the H5 shoulders and points the best, it has good trigger. It just feels right. Biggest downside is the 5shot mag. Only sporter that I think...

    The dreaded *&$%# Fill Probe...

It is rare, but I have seen foster fittings not click into place 100% securely, and do the wild snake thing once pressurised. Not pretty, very dangerous. Happens mostly to the inexperienced. Probes are safer that way. having said that, I do prefer foster…

Classic style rifle. What would your choice be?

Closest thing to what you describe is the Kalibrgun Carbine .22 Sturdy, rifle format, good quality, but may not enough classic style for you. avoid the .25, its too long and barrel droops. Gun is hard to come buy, but still vaialble new. Newer are bettr in my experience (safety fixed and good...

going to get into pcp at some point

Wrt gta vs agn: i dont care, as they say “ it takes all kinds” wrt the original question, for a new to pcp guy, I suggest going second hand. Thry something with a regulator at least, and as high quality as possible. I love the old edguns and kalibrguns, and the fx royale. Since they are not the...

Airgun Survival Challenge-WILL THEY SURVIVE? Final

Rambler, can we look forward to your video where you are performing similar test, but then even better adressing your above complaint? I applaud Dana for this creative and new way of testing. I do not doubt the practical applicability, knowing the relative fragility of pcp's.

Start with a "budget gun" or go all out?

My 2 cts: it depends on who you are, and what type of things you like and what annoys you… if you dont mind things that are a little bit gritty, or do you expect it to be butter smooth. Do you mind if things need to be handled with care, or do you expect them to last 100 years. Do you require...
