Umarex M3A1 Grease Gun is out

Okay, got to shoot it today at last. The good news, it's a ton of fun. It's actually quite loud which adds to the effect. It was also reliable. I have the MP40 as well, and the magazine on it has an annoying tendency to not push the BBs up fast enough for it to fire. I did use lube on it but...

Umarex M3A1 Grease Gun is out

Yes I shoot indoors in the garage, but that doesn't help when freezing rain is coming down sideways and I can't even get the cars outside. In the meantime I'm staying inside where it's warm and catching up on M3 Grease Gun videos on YouTube. :)

Umarex M3A1 Grease Gun is out

Santa just arrived in a brown truck last night. :) The weather outside is horrible but I'll give a range report as soon as I am able. First impressions are that Umarex knocked it out of the park. This thing is scary realistic.

    SIG Sauer M17 Quick Review

I REALLY love my Umarex Beretta 92. I just wish it shot closer to point of aim. At least the M17 has well-regulated sights.

Umarex M3A1 Grease Gun is out

Thanks, I ordered one so hopefully mine runs as well as yours. I'm always a bit squirrely about getting something from the first batch of anything.

    Colt Peacemaker Pellet Pistol Cleaning

I've shot airguns on and off for over 40 years and can't recall ever cleaning a single one. Oiling it, sure. But cleaning out the barrel? Nope.

Umarex M3A1 Grease Gun is out

This beast is finally showing up for sale on Amazon and air gun websites. Please report back if you're an early adopter and let us know what you think! I'm interested in one, but for $240 a pop I want to wait and see what others think first.

    SIG Sauer M17 Quick Review

It's nearly impossible to tell the difference between it and a real M17 until you handle it. That's the good news. The bad is that my particular example is a frequent jammer, and worse yet I've wasted several CO2 cartridges when they failed to seal upon closing the loading lever and leaked out...

Do you enjoy vintage airguns? Sharing some research...

I still have two airguns from my youth back in the early 1980s... a Daisy 880 pump rifle and Crosman 357 pellet revolver. I've had to rebuild both in recent years but they're still chugging along. I've had the 880 since I was about 12yo and the 357 from when I was around 13. No picture of the...

    Crosman 38T

These older replicas weren't as realistic as many of today's guns, but they were simpler and much easier to disassemble and repair. Many of them continue to soldier on 40+ years later with just a simple overhaul of the seals. I noticed many of today's replicas incorporate factory-sealed units...

Walk down memory lane: Healthways Plainsman CO2 pistol

I found these on Amazon. Maybe they would work? https://www.amazon.com/Leland-Co2-Cartridges-10-Count/dp/B000I1WMXY

What are your thoughts on replicas?

I've heard of the M3 but I'm not in a huge hurry to get it when it comes out. I already have the Legends M1A1 and MP40, plus the Crosman SBR. I also have a KWC UZI, which while not my favorite to own is probably my favorite to actually shoot. My pistols are pretty varied, but I have several of...

What are your thoughts on replicas?

I agree that shooting BBs indoors can be problematic, but it depends on where your shooting area is and what kind of backstop you can make. My solution was to shoot into a large 40-gallon tote filled with all-purpose sand and positioned in my garage. I have it tipped over and sitting on a dolly...

What are your thoughts on replicas?

Well let's see... so far I've "accumulated" about a dozen replica airguns. I have no plans to stop as I'm in full sickness mode and there's still a bunch more I plan to get as my wallet cools down. Like a lot of people I stopped shooting airguns entirely once I became old enough to play with the...

    Umarex/Smith & Wesson M29 CO2/BB

My 357 is an early one with the metal frame and 8" barrel, so it's got some weight to it. The later all-plastic ones weren't as good. I've had it since I was 12 years old and have rebuilt it twice already. Stubbornness and nostalgia can make for an expensive combination. With the Umarex M29...
