I bought this new from Optics Planet last year for my 1701P. It's in near new condition and only been mounted once. It's a wonderful pistol scope, just more than I need for 10 meter shooting in the basement and I'm looking to go with a red dot instead.

I haven't read anything on anyone making power mods on the Sniper line of rifles. If it was simple enough to get an extra 10 fpe out of the platform, I probably would give it a go.

I also own both and would agree that while the trigger on the Daystate is very nice, the HW100 is better. Magazine capacity(14 vs. 11) as well as simplicity also favor the HW100. The HW100 is a tad heavier. You'll make a wise decision and should have no regrets whichever you choose.

I ordered one from optics planet on March 3rd and it just arrived this Saturday. Mounted it on the prod. It's a bit heavier than the 1", 2-7 scope it replaced, but the optics are great and it's really nice to dial it up to 12x for a little target shooting.

Buckrail moderator and AR adapter and stock on my 1720 delivered to my house for under $100 in a few days. While not necessarily heirloom quality items, still hard to beat that.
