    Update from Mac1

Tim just texted a picture of my 392 on the work bench during the final mock up. All that's left is to wait for a pump cup from Crosman, and reassembly. So excited!!

Apologies in advance, I know I'm a broken record.

I'm one of those "Need to know" types, so I'll have to pump it 14 times for at least 3 shots, so I can see what it does. Guve Tim a shout, he got mine in really quick.

I've already been plugging imaginary FPS numbers into a ballistic calculator, and did notice that trend. Heavier = higher FPE, at a slight decline in FPS. I look forward to seeing the actual numbers myself.

As soon as the rifle is on its way home, I'm going to order a cheap chronograph from Amazon and test the velocities from 1 to 10 pumps with a CPHP 14.3 gr pellet - because that's the pellet used in the chart I have for the standard Benjamin. But I'll do 11 - 14 pumps too, just to see how much...

    WTF moments

Just this morning, I watched a video where the guy was having the exact same issue. Close examination of the LDC showed that his pellets were ever so slightly brushing the edge of the LDC's end cap. He took a drill bit that was a fraction larger than the hole in the LDC and drilled it out...

I also am having the extended pump arm installed, which Tim says lowers pumping effort by 25%.

My interview went very well, so with any luck, I'll be able to get a decent chronograph and test all my pellets for FPS & FPE

About Mac1 and my Benjamin, but he texted me a minute ago, and my rifle is officially in his hot little, talented hands!!! He also said that a steriod @ 6 pumps is roughly equal to a stock 392 @ 8 pumps (+/- 13 foot pounds) and a steriod can be pumped 14 times for 23 foot pounds!!! I'm...

    Discovery VT-Z 4-16×44SF scope

What does everyone think of this scope? It was given to me free several years ago by someone on either this forum or GTA - can't remember which or who (retired old-guy syndrome). I really like it and it works well for me and my shooting. I was just curious, because I don't see many people...

Scrap material rifle rest V2, pictures.

Version 2.1 is now finished (hopefully). The shag carpet is gone, replaced by adhesive anti-slip furniture pads. The buttstock rest has been narrowed and shortened (after the original version cause rifle alignment issues by being too tall and thick). I remade the barrel rest, so now it's not...

    12 miles from Santa's workshop 😁

Just checked UPS tracking and my rifle is in Cerritos, Ca. About 17 minutes from Mac1 😁. It's like being a kid on Christmas, knowing the parts for the toy you really WANT are almost at Santa's workshop to be assembled.

Scrap material rifle rest V2, pictures.

Just (almost) finished my odds & ends rifle rest V2. All that's left is to apply carpeting to where the butt stock rests, but the rifle is halfway to California, and I need to set it in the rest so the fit is right. Rest V1 IMO, was pretty ugly with all the extra holes from repositioning parts...
