True. There is a lot of fine print in the ever evolving firearms regulations.

A lot of them will be listed at 495 fps. I've always wondered just how accurate that is. When people list the chronograph results there is quite often more than a 5fps variance in a string of shots.

I don't think there is a caliber limit, just under 500 fps to be license free. I bought a .25 cal AirArms when I ran a dog boarding kennel to control the gophers and grackles. The 22lr sound would freak out the dogs while the .25 airgun wouldn't faze them a bit. Also most of my neighbours are...

If the fps is under 500 then no license is needed. Anything over 500fps requires a PAL, Possesion and Aquisitiion License. The cost for a PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) in Canada, which allows individuals to possess and acquire rifles and shotguns, is approximately $225. This includes...

    Air Arms Breech O-rings

I have been emailing Sheila at AA and Travis at AGS and they both agree that I seem to have been sold a gun with a .22 cal probe rather than the correct .25 cal. New probe at no cost is enroute and we'll hope that corrects the problem. Quality folks to deal with given that this is already a 8...

    Air Arms Breech O-rings

In a perfect world either AA or the retailer will provide the correct part, assuming that is indeed the problem. Or they will ask to have the rifle sent back at my expense to have it checked and perhaps refitted. In the real world I'm assuming I'll potentially end up making a new probe. I have...

    8. Years. I feel like a dolt but if you don't know it's wrong........... Maybe instead of thinking I'm an idiot, I'll tell myself I'm stubborn. Or determined. Sigh.

Thanks for the info. I've got emails into Air Arms and the retailer to see what they say. I know some pcp platforms are able to interchange barrels to obtain different calibres. Are Air Arms one of those?

    Air Arms Breech O-rings

Received my o-rings from Pyramid this morning. Measuring the breech rings it seems they are indeed 1.5mm cross section by 6mm ID. This is a size I have tried before and still had the problem. When measuring the pellet probe however it is 5.55 mm. The probe is supposed to form a seal with the...

Thanks. I have ordered from them once before for something else. The O-ring price is fine but the 47 USD shipping for an ounce of O-Rngs chokes me up.

I'll order the proper ones and a full oring kit once my credit card is replaced. Had to cancel it due to the Ticketmaster hack. PITA. Thanks

The envelope they came in says 1.5 by 6. I'm guessing this is a "There's your problem lady" moment for me.

    Air Arms Breech O-rings

So I have the gun back together. Other than a few not so tight screws, everything looked to be in good shape. No blemishes on the probe or the breech. The cocking lever wasn't loose on the end of probe so no issue there. Now I have to repressurize the cylinder. With a hand pump. I'll get back...

Cool. Never even thought of that. I've got a Carbon X1.

if I can get the gun working properly I'll try to find a single shot tray for it and quit dicking around with re-indexing the existing mag. Single shot works fine in my use case but I haven't found one for 25 cal yet.
