    What's your dream Big Bore?

I am somewhat up in the "Air" on my dream big bore. I just sold my Texan .308, wanting a more powerful, knockdown gun for hunting (mostly coyotes, quietly). I live in a rural area but there are still neighbors who I'm sure don't want to be bothered by my .223/5.56 AR at midnight. Over the...

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Never saw a mount like that but I like it, if you don't mind my asking about how much does something like that cost? Full mounts for deer run me about $500 at my taxidermist, though I'm always more than happy to pay that cost:)

    Best Texan Suppressor

I also got one from RL when I purchased my .308 Texan from them and it quiets it down to virtually nothing in my opinion-I've heard BB guns that are louder. That being said I just sold my .308 and suppressor wanting to move to a larger caliber for more knockdown power on coyotes. After...

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Don't know if you read one of my replies, but the way it seems to work at my place is when I shoot one it usually takes a few days to more than a week for another to come in. I just got one a couple nights ago so I don't expect anymore for about a week. That isn't to say that I'm not locked...

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Good call huntjunky. I have used the "prop up the dead coyote" trick a number of times, particularly in the winter when they are stiff. Definitely makes the live ones more relaxed to come in.

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Awesome shot. The head shots are the toughest by far, but they are the money shots when it comes to certain/quick death. And 48lbs is a big coyote. Enjoy the action while it lasts. They will learn very quickly to stay the hell out of there, at least at the time you are up and taking shots at...

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

Honestly, I have never heard one yelp once when I have shot it. And I doubt the yelp would really cause much of a disturbance in the neighborhood. The howling of the coyotes is much louder than a yelp would be. Like I said however, I have never heard one make a sound at all when I have shot...

The Coyotes are infiltrating and I need to take action

I'm brand new to the forum here and have been shooting coyotes in my rural backyard property for a few years now. I used my .223 AR for awhile but didn't want to upset neighbors too much. Most don't care because they knew I was getting rid of the coyotes, but nobody cares to hear gunfire at...
