Everything I'm reading leads me to believe that the tubes on the Hawke Airmax scopes and the UTG Hunter aren't long enough to fit between the rings on the RWS lockdown mount. Have you used it with these scopes?

I'm close to buying the Hawke AirMax 3-9x40. I've noticed that the RWS lockdown scope mount seems to be too long for these Hawke scopes (even the Hawke rail mounts are too long). So, I will probably go with a pair of Hawke match mounts. My question is, do I need to get any droop compensation...

I went ahead and ordered the Diana 34. Seems like a good price, but I would rather have had a .22. Should still get the job done and pellets will be cheaper. I'm very excited to try it out! I was really eyeing the Marauder, but the removal of the AGNATION discount code on the Crosman website...

Yes, I was very close to buying a marauder... had it in and out of the cart last week with the code working. I'll have to go another route now.

That Diana 34 is enticing. I may go ahead and order that. I'm waffling between a quality break barrel or the Benjamin Marauder either pistol or rifle.

The only air gun I've ever owned was a Crosman pump. Are there videos or threads of the mods done to the Winchester 1977XS? It might be a fun project whether it's the answer to my current problem or not!
