I dont believe it would hurt it too much, make gun weigh 6.5# and put a nice scope would put it around 7.5# or so, about perfect to carry around in woods. If money is no problem then you could pretty much make it however you want.

BSA R12 and make it a carbine sporter walnut stock and everything else to make it light or a HW100 w/carbon bottle, walnut sporter or T/H stock made to be lightweight and carbine. Not a bullpup fan. Either in .22

My HW100 is dead quiet so is my Taipan Vet 2 other then action noise. Girlfriend even comments how quiet both are. Dreamline Classic w/Tanto mod is very quiet also. All 3 are exceptionally accurate. Forgot my .22 FX Crown .22 w/380mm barrel with Tanto mod is very quiet/accurate also.

In all honesty the HW100 .22 super consistent/dead accurate from 1st shot till drops off the reg. Next would be my Crown MK2 .22 with 380mm barrel.
