    Hornets nest

Good on You! I see any nest be it hornet wasp or any similar with exception to Bee's, I take them out including the nest. I make note of the location, them come calling after sundown. I see no possible reason for their existence.

An FYI for you guys. Brake cleaner in an aerosol can works quite well on wasps. One blast and they drop instantly dead. Wait til evening when they're all nestled onto their nest for the night and you can give them their final "Nighty Nite" send off. ;)

Diana How long can a springer be left cocked before spring degradation?

Thanks for your input Toxylon. So far I think I'm doing right by my springers and will continue the practice of not leaving them cocked other than while hunting.

Diana How long can a springer be left cocked before spring degradation?

German made Diana 48 bought brand new from Airguns of Arizona a few years ago. Fairly powerful and never been dry fired.

Hi Motorhead, do you have a site that lists services and prices?

If it's cocked it's loaded. I always discharge it in a safe direction before putting it away.

I'm talking Diana 48 specifically, and all springers generically? Reason I ask is I don't like to leave it cocked, but sometimes my targets don't show up for 20 minutes. The gun is a pain to cock when target presents itself.

Know your quarry - Merlin Bird ID

Oh yeah, Crows will kill other birds, raid their nests and eat their eggs. To me a Crow is a target of opportunity.

More rat kills with my Ghost, with a couple slow motion kills.

Curious if you have tried Gamo Red Fire? I have had great success using them in .177 caliber for one shot kills on Tree Rats and Asian Doves.

.177 7.8 grn Gamo Redfire vs back of Gopher head/skull

Good, and thank you for the reply. I still have to chronograph my rifles, but think it was going at least 850 fps. I haven't seen any fresh moved dirt in the area so have to think I got him. In fact I'm sure I saw impact on the back of it's beady little skull, but everything from that point...
