Fx M3 25 cal 700 mm slug tune

I shot hogs in Texas with my .30 cal Impact and I also shot rabbits in the head from 120 yards in pitch darkness with my night vision scope... typically squirrels don't have enough meat for me to be worth the cleaning and I never chase them. I get your point but for some of us shooting slugs...

Fx M3 25 cal 700 mm slug tune

I can relate to your experience. I think we're all still learning how to tune the impact. I had mine for a few yrs it's an Impact 2 and I really enjoyed it until I upgraded to 720 Power Plenum and I increased the transfer port size and the pellet probe. I wanted to shoot slugs and everyone was...

Wild Turkey Hunting - Ammo Feedback

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you; I misunderstood your question. I've seen people taking out turkeys with headshot .25 cal 25 gr pellets up to 30 yards away with Marauder guns. I prefer to use my Impact with .30 cal 50 grn slugs cause they are more stable in the wind and I can take shots up to...

Wild Turkey Hunting - Ammo Feedback

With 15 miles of wind at 90 yards it's almost impossible to hit it with a pellet from the first shot, and you have no time for the second...so don't shoot it. Get a cheap blind or a tent and cover it with branches and leaves or camo cover and shoot as many birds as you want from 30 yards away...

    Night hunting?

I have two PARD NV008S LRF for night vision and they work amazingly well. Can do video too if you want, They can shoot day and night and have very crisp images; also a lot less expensive than thermal. They are very light scopes, and within $1000 it's a really good choice.

    FX Impact vs FX Wildcat

I don't own an Impact or Wildcat Mark 3 but I'd like to hear from pros on this site, if you can afford to buy only one, would you buy an Impact or a Wildcat? Looks like the Mark 3 generation evened the playfield as far as power...I'd like to shoot mid to long-range, and it seems like both guns...

Tuning FX Impact ll Power Plenum - 720, Need Help / Tuning Problems

Mrshosted, thanks for your reply. There is no valve spring in my gun right now as I described in my post. The gun was an Impact mark1 upgraded by the previous owner or more likely ER to Mark2 and it looks like the upgrade was done correctly. ER installed his high-power plenum and the gun was...

Tuning Impact M3 + Slug Power Kit - Understanding Tuning

I can't thank you enough for sharing your experience with tuning your M3. I replaced my standard plenum with Power Plenum 720 and enlarged the port holes on my barrel and pellet probe (simulating the same performance achieved by the slug kit). And then I tried turning it and realized I lost at...

Tuning FX Impact ll Power Plenum - 720, Need Help / Tuning Problems

Airgunmann do you have Markll upgraded with 720 power plenum? The Power Plenum 720 Kit came with its new valve tube. I assume it's the high flow valve tube you mentioned. Also I had no barrel whip problem before the upgrade. I was getting 940 FPS with 160 BAR reg press. And I had 1" groups at...

Tuning FX Impact ll Power Plenum - 720, Need Help / Tuning Problems

Hi Guys, I have ruined my 30 Cal Impact after I installed the Power Plenum 720. A bit of history on my gun, I bought it second-hand from a guy who had Ernest Rowe (yes the FX Master) upgrade the gun to Impact II and add his power plenum. He also did other improvements, installed a valve seat...
